Track the centreline
Preparing for a stable approach will give you time to decide on whether to attempt the landing or going around. Too much altitude with a high sink rate will result in carrying too much speed onto the runway. Configuring flaps and the gear late also won't help the speed decay.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
At the 300 ft gate: centreline 12.5° off, against a 1° limit.

Side view — the last 513 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 513 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 106 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Kodiak 100 taxied to runway 19 at AYPB Paiela Airport and commenced the departure roll, using 346 m of runway, which represented 67 % of the available length.
Liftoff was achieved at a speed of 65 kt, after which the aircraft entered the initial climb segment.
The first climb began overhead the airport, rising from 6 424 ft asl to 7 915 ft asl, an increase of 1 491 ft accomplished in 3 minutes while covering 7 nm.
A descent was initiated 2 nm south-east of the field, descending from 7 900 ft asl to 6 314 ft asl, a loss of 1 586 ft in 2 minutes over a distance of 3 nm.
Subsequently the aircraft performed a second climb, again overhead the airport, gaining altitude from 6 310 ft asl to 7 262 ft asl, an increase of 953 ft during a 2-minute interval and covering 4 nm.
A level cruise followed, lasting 3 minutes and extending for 5 nm while remaining overhead AYPB.
During the final approach to runway 01, the aircraft descended from 214 ft agl to -4 ft agl in 43 seconds, meeting the stabilisation gate criteria.
Touchdown on runway 01 occurred at a threshold speed slightly below target, recorded at 57 kt, with a touchdown distance of 104 m, touchdown speed of 48 kt, and a touchdown rate of 12 fpm; the touchdown point was 9.5 m off the centreline.
The rollout continued to a total landing distance of 252 m, representing 49 % of the runway, and the aircraft’s alignment during rollout was 8.4 m from the centreline.
In total the flight covered 21 nm, required 10 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 22 kg of fuel.
The Kodiak 100 entered the final approach to runway 01 at AYPB Paiela Airport, descending from 214 ft AGL to -4 ft AGL in 43 seconds and receiving a score on the stabilisation gates.
At the threshold the aircraft maintained a good height, while the threshold speed was recorded at 57 kt, a little below the target value.
Touchdown occurred 104 m down the runway at 48 kt with a vertical rate of 12 fpm, and the touchdown point was laterally offset by 9.5 m from the centreline.
The rollout covered a total distance of 252 m, representing 49 % of the 513-m runway, and the aircraft’s alignment during rollout was slightly off centreline by 8.4 m.
To improve the already strong performance reflected by the 90.5 % score, focus on tightening lateral alignment to the centreline during touchdown and rollout, and adjust the approach speed to meet the target threshold speed.
