Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,590 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 273 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A319 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EDDW Bremen Airport, a process that took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. Departure roll took place on runway 09, with the aircraft taking off after covering 1,058 meters, which was 52% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 143 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 13 knots coming from a direction of 110 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 12 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of Bremen and rising from an altitude of 1,048 feet above sea level to 22,066 feet above sea level, an increase of 21,017 feet in 8 minutes and covering 38 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 2 miles northeast of Neustadt am Ruebenberge and lasting 5 minutes, during which it covered 37 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting overhead Bockenem and descending from 22,447 feet above sea level to 4,921 feet above sea level, a decrease of 17,526 feet in 12 minutes and covering 62 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting overhead EDUO Oberrißdorf Airfield Hedersleben and lasting 2 minutes, during which it covered 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Schraplau and descending from 4,785 feet above sea level to 1,668 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,117 feet in 6 minutes and covering 17 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 08L at EDDP Leipzig/Halle Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 86.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,217 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 08L, which had a length of 3,590 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 127 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 272 meters, but the touchdown speed of 124 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -330 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 11 knots coming from a direction of 50 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 9 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,293 meters, which was 36% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The aircraft then began taxiing to the parking area, a process that took 9 minutes and covered 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 168 nautical miles, and the flight took 48 minutes, using 1,737 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at EDDP Leipzig/Halle Airport, achieving a high score of 98.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 86.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,217 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 08L, which has a length of 3,590 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 127 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown distance of 272 meters was within acceptable limits, showing that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft's descent.
However, the touchdown speed of 124 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a firmer touchdown rate of -330 feet per minute (fpm). This could be a minor concern, as a slightly faster touchdown speed may not significantly impact the overall safety of the landing.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments to the pilot's approach and landing technique. Nevertheless, the overall alignment of the runway rollout was very good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control over the aircraft's direction during the landing phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 16°C and a moderate wind of 11 knots at 50°. The crosswind component was relatively low at 6 knots, while the headwind component was 9 knots. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing, and the total landing distance of 1,293 meters (36% of the runway length) was within acceptable limits. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, and the pilot's skills were demonstrated through the successful completion of the landing.
