MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,536 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,536 m of the 4,065 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 427 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320 taxied from the parking area to runway 06 at ELLX Luxembourg-Findel International Airport, a movement that lasted 10 minutes and covered 4 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 06, the aircraft accelerated over a takeoff distance of 1,620 m (41 % of runway) and lifted off at 166 kt. Local weather at the time reported a temperature of 33 °C, wind 9 kt from 101°, with a 6 kt crosswind component and a 7 kt headwind.
Climb commenced overhead Senningen, Luxembourg, with the airplane climbing from 2,143 ft asl to 35,011 ft asl, an altitude gain of 32,868 ft achieved in 18 minutes while covering 124 nm.
Level cruise began 2 miles north-east of Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany, and persisted for 5 minutes, during which 42 nm were flown.
Descent started overhead Boxberg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, with the aircraft descending from 35,008 ft asl to 2,774 ft asl, a loss of 32,234 ft in 21 minutes and covering 126 nm.
The final approach to runway 08L at EDDM Munich Airport was flown from the west, on a heading of 83.0°, at 4 nm and 1,295 ft agl.
Landing on runway 08L, which is 3,989 m long, occurred with a threshold height at 62 ft agl that was above target and a threshold speed of 136 kt. Touchdown distance measured 434 m, touchdown speed was 133 kt (a little fast), and touchdown rate was minus 344 fpm. Runway touchdown alignment was very good. Local weather at Munich reported a temperature of 28 °C, wind 14 kt from 90°, with a 2 kt crosswind and a 14 kt headwind.
The total landing distance recorded was 1,465 m (37 % of runway), and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
After exiting the runway, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 4 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In summary, the flight covered a total distance of 302 nm, required 57 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 2,281 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A320 entered the final approach to runway 08L at Munich Airport from the west on a heading of 83.0° at 4 NM and 1,295 ft agl. At the 1,000 ft gate the approach was assessed as stabilised, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits, and the prevailing conditions were a temperature of 28 °C with a wind of 14 kt from 090° (crosswind component 2 kt, headwind 14 kt).
At threshold the aircraft was slightly high, with the threshold height at 62 ft agl above the target. The threshold speed was good at 136 kt.
Touchdown occurred 434 m down the runway at a speed of 133 kt, described as a little fast, with a firm touchdown rate of minus 344 fpm. Runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 1,465 m, representing 37 % of the 3,989 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
Minor refinements should focus on achieving the target threshold height and moderating the touchdown speed slightly toward the reference value to further optimise the landing envelope.
