MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.
At the 500 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,206 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 445 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 36R at Tulsa International Airport (KTUL), with a takeoff distance of 663 meters, which accounted for 22% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 138 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 26°C temperature and wind speeds of 18 knots at 20°. The crosswind was 5 knots, while the headwind was 17 knots. After departing from KTUL, the enroute climb started overhead the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,640 feet above sea level to 45,358 feet above sea level, an increase of 43,718 feet in 20 minutes, covering 141 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 1 mile west of Diamond City, Arkansas, and lasted for 23 minutes, covering 215 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 4 miles northeast of Vienna Airport, Illinois, descending from 45,134 feet above sea level to 6,072 feet above sea level, a decrease of 39,062 feet in 20 minutes, covering 142 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise resumed 1 mile southeast of Boston, Kentucky, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 15 nautical miles.
The final descent started 2 miles southeast of Mount Washington, Kentucky, with the aircraft descending from 5,605 feet above sea level to 1,760 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,845 feet in 4 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 29 at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (KSDF) from the east, heading 291.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,269 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 29 at KSDF was successful, with a touchdown distance of 447 meters, which was good. The touchdown speed was 125 knots, which was fast, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -107 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the local weather conditions were 20°C temperature and wind speeds of 19 knots at 260°. The crosswind was 10 knots, while the headwind was 16 knots.
The total landing distance was 990 meters, which accounted for 45% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. After landing, the aircraft took 1 minute to taxi to the parking from the runway, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 529 nautical miles, taking 76 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,129 kilograms of fuel.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed on runway 29 at KSDF Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, achieving a score of 97.9%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 291.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,269 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft's approach and landing performance were satisfactory, with a good threshold height and a well-above-target threshold speed of 137 knots. The touchdown distance of 447 meters was also within acceptable limits, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 125 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly longer rollout distance.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 20°C and a wind speed of 19 knots from 260°. This resulted in a crosswind component of 10 knots and a headwind component of 16 knots. Despite these conditions, the aircraft's runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating a high degree of control and precision during the landing.
The total landing distance of 990 meters was 45% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. This suggests that the pilot was able to maintain a high degree of control and precision during the landing, and that the aircraft's brakes were able to slow it down effectively. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating a smooth and controlled deceleration after touchdown.
Overall, the landing performance of aircraft C750 was satisfactory, with a high degree of control and precision demonstrated throughout the approach and landing phases. The pilot's skills and experience were evident in the smooth and controlled manner in which the aircraft was brought to a stop on the runway.
