MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 9,794 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,801 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-700 taxied from the parking area to runway 26R at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport in 18 minutes, covering 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 26R, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 146 kt and became airborne after a takeoff distance of 4,689 ft, representing 35 % of the runway; ambient temperature was 91 °F with a wind of 3 kt from 200°, a 2 kt crosswind component and a 1 kt headwind.
Climb commenced 1 mile southwest of Paradise, Nevada, with the airplane ascending from 3,075 ft asl to 36,441 ft asl, a gain of 33,366 ft achieved in 18 minutes while covering 122 nm.
The first cruise segment began 6 miles northeast of L50 Tuweep, Arizona, and lasted 72 minutes, during which the aircraft flew 586 nm at level altitude.
A second climb started 6 miles southeast of Spearman, Texas, raising the aircraft from 37,001 ft asl to 37,516 ft asl, an increase of 515 ft in 2 minutes over a distance of 11 nm.
The subsequent cruise phase originated 13 miles northeast of TX13 Mesa Vista Ranch Airport, Pampa, Texas, and continued for 7 minutes, covering 49 nm.
Descent began 12 miles north of 6OK5 Cary Ranch Airport, Reydon, Oklahoma, with the airplane descending from 36,367 ft asl to 5,312 ft asl, a loss of 31,055 ft in 17 minutes while traveling 101 nm.
A brief cruise segment followed, starting 3 miles northwest of Yukon, Oklahoma, lasting 5 minutes and spanning 13 nm.
The second descent was initiated 2 miles west of The Village, Oklahoma, where the aircraft dropped from 4,224 ft asl to 2,513 ft asl, a decrease of 1,711 ft in 3 minutes and covering 6 nm.
Final approach to runway 17L at KOKC Will Rogers World Airport was conducted from the north, on a heading of 180.0° at 4 nm and 1,215 ft agl.
Landing on runway 17L, which is 9,794 ft long, occurred with a threshold speed of 132 kt; touchdown was recorded 433 ft beyond the touchdown zone at 127 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 79 fpm and perfect alignment; local conditions were 81 °F, wind 4 kt from 170°, a 1 kt crosswind and a 4 kt headwind; total landing distance was 4,379 ft, representing 45 % of the runway.
Rollout proceeded with very good runway alignment, completing the landing roll within the measured distance.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 6 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 897 nm, required 140 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 11,858 lb of fuel.
The Boeing 737-700 approached runway 17L at KOKC Will Rogers World Airport on a final approach from the north, tracking 180.0° at 4 nm and 1,215 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
At threshold the aircraft presented a good threshold height and established the required threshold speed of 132 kt, which was judged good.
Touchdown occurred 433 ft beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 127 kt that was rated good. The vertical rate at touchdown was excellent at minus 79 fpm and runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 4,379 ft, representing 45 % of the 9,794-ft runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
Maintain the current speed and rate management while aiming to touch down nearer the designated touchdown zone; this will modestly reduce rollout distance and keep the already high performance margin.
