MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,147 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,147 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 304 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna Longitude, then departed from runway 22R at KEWR Newark Liberty International Airport. The takeoff distance was 545 meters, which is 25% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 128 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 20°C, with a wind speed of 22 knots from a direction of 280°. This resulted in a crosswind of 21 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile east of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and ascended from an altitude of 1,023 feet above sea level to 42,652 feet above sea level, an increase of 41,629 feet, in 16 minutes and covering 89 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northeast of Gap, Pennsylvania, and lasted 56 minutes, covering 403 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent overhead Swannanoa, North Carolina, and descended from 43,488 feet above sea level to 4,988 feet above sea level, a decrease of 38,500 feet, in 22 minutes and covering 128 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started again overhead Johns Creek, Georgia, and lasted 3 minutes, covering 15 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 03L at KPDK DeKalb Peachtree Airport was made from the south, heading 20.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,218 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 03L, which has a length of 1,147 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 126 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 306 meters, but the touchdown speed was fast at 116 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -231 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 23°C. The total landing distance was 675 meters, which is 59% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 646 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 107 minutes. The aircraft used 1,644 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna Longitude successfully landed on runway 03L at KPDK DeKalb Peachtree Airport, achieving a score of 98.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 20.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,218 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 126 knots, which was significantly above the target threshold speed. This indicates that the pilot had sufficient control and managed to slow down the aircraft effectively before touchdown. The touchdown distance of 306 meters was also within acceptable limits, demonstrating the pilot's ability to navigate the aircraft safely onto the runway.
However, the touchdown speed of 116 knots was slightly faster than desired, resulting in a fair touchdown rate of -231 feet per minute. This may indicate that the pilot could have applied more gentle braking or used a more optimal approach speed to achieve a smoother touchdown.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a minor deviation in the pilot's alignment or a slight crosswind effect. Nevertheless, the runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot maintained control and stability during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 23°C. Overall, the Cessna Longitude's landing performance was impressive, with the pilot demonstrating excellent control and navigation skills.
