Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
At the 500 ft gate: off the centreline and wings not level.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,687 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,687 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 217 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Sankt Johann Airfield, the Cessna 208B began its takeoff roll on runway 31, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 74 kt in 1,395 ft, which represented 59% of the available runway length. The aircraft lifted off into a calm local environment, with a temperature of 60 °F and a negligible wind of 1 kt from 268°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and headwind.
As the aircraft transitioned into the enroute phase, it began a climb from 2,754 ft above sea level to 5,312 ft, an increase of 2,557 ft in just 3 minutes, while covering a distance of 8 nm. The climb was initiated overhead Sankt Johann in Tirol, Austria, and continued until the aircraft reached the desired altitude. Subsequently, the aircraft began its descent from 5,159 ft to 2,062 ft, a decrease of 3,097 ft in 3 minutes, while covering a distance of 5 nm. This descent was initiated overhead Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser, also in Tirol, Austria.
The final approach to runway 23 at Kufstein-Langkampfen Airfield was initiated from the north-east, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 213.0° at 1 nm and 474 ft above ground level. However, a go-around was initiated at 290 ft agl, necessitating a re-approach to the runway. The subsequent landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 47 kt and a touchdown distance of 212 ft, representing 97% of the available runway length. The aircraft's touchdown rate was also within acceptable limits at -185 fpm, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 1,641 ft, and the aircraft's rollout alignment was also very good. The flight, which covered a total distance of 20 nm, utilized 17 lbs of fuel and lasted for 15 minutes.
The Cessna 208B touched down on runway 23 at LOIK Kufstein-Langkampfen Airfield with a satisfactory approach quality, demonstrating good control and precision. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 474 feet above ground level (agl) at 1 nautical mile from the threshold, aligning itself with the runway heading of 213.0°. The threshold height was well within acceptable limits, allowing for a smooth transition to the landing phase.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft exhibited good characteristics, with a touchdown speed of 47 knots and a rate of descent of -185 feet per minute. The touchdown distance of 212 feet was also within acceptable limits, indicating a well-executed landing. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft centered on the runway centerline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 60°F and a negligible headwind of 1 knot, contributed to a stable and predictable landing environment.
The rollout phase was also executed well, with the aircraft maintaining a very good alignment with the runway centerline. The total landing distance of 1,641 feet was 97% of the available runway length, indicating a safe and controlled stop. Overall, the landing was scored 78.8%, reflecting a satisfactory performance that met the requirements for a safe and efficient landing.
