Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,005 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,005 m of the 2,914 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,081 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Overall, it sounds like there were some positive aspects to the aircraft landing, but there were also some areas that could use improvement.
What went well: It's great that the heading alignment and speed were on target during the Approach Phase. Additionally, during the Touchdown Phase, the speed was on target and the runway alignment was good.
What didn't go so well: There were some areas that could have been better. The poor descent path above the glideslope limit during the Approach Phase, the excessively high threshold height and poor landing flare during the Landing Phase, and the hard touchdown rate during the Touchdown Phase all indicate areas for improvement.
Recommendations for improvement: To improve future landings, it may be helpful to focus on maintaining a descent path within the glideslope limits, working on achieving a lower threshold height and smoother landing flare, and practicing for a softer touchdown rate with a more controlled distance on the runway. Additionally, the rollout phase would benefit from continued focus on maintaining runway alignment throughout the landing. Keep practicing and working on these areas to help achieve smoother and safer landings in the future. Keep up the good work and continue to strive for improvement.
