MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 9,521 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,635 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 13 minutes and covered a distance of 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 18 at Colonel James Jabara Airport, with a takeoff distance of 2,621 feet, which accounted for 43% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 91 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind speed of 21 knots at 159 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 19 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of the airport, and reached a height of 23,906 feet above sea level, an increase of 21,467 feet in just 8 minutes, covering a distance of 47 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 8 miles southeast of Dexter Field Cottonwood Falls, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 29 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 5 miles south of J V Ranch Airport Osage City, and descended from 23,885 feet to 17,700 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,186 feet in 3 minutes, covering 26 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 2 miles west of Norris Airport Lawrence, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 13 nautical miles. The descent from 17,690 feet to 5,576 feet above sea level, a decrease of 12,115 feet in 5 minutes, covered 29 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting overhead Elton Field Platte City, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles.
The final descent started 1 mile southeast of Flintlock Field Platte City, and the aircraft descended from 5,659 feet to 2,246 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,412 feet in 3 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 19L at Kansas City International Airport, heading 193.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,222 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 19L was successful, with a touchdown point 220 feet beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 118 knots, which was slightly fast, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -145 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 81 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind speed of 11 knots at 109 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 3,182 feet, which accounted for 33% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 167 nautical miles, taking 39 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,257 pounds of fuel.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed on runway 19L at Kansas City International Airport (KMCI) with a score of 86.8%. The final approach was initiated from the north, heading 193.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,222 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach to the runway was smooth, with a threshold height significantly above the target at 88 ft agl.
Upon landing, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target at 126 knots, indicating a slight increase in speed during the final stages of the approach. The touchdown point was located 220 feet beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight overcorrection or a slightly fast approach. However, the touchdown speed of 118 knots was also a little fast, which could have contributed to the extended touchdown point.
Despite the slightly fast touchdown speed, the touchdown rate was smooth at -145 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the landing. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 81°F and a wind speed of 11 knots at 109°.
The total landing distance of 3,182 feet was 33% of the runway length, which is within a reasonable range. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the rollout phase. Overall, while there were some minor issues with the landing, such as a slightly fast touchdown speed and extended touchdown point, the aircraft's score of 86.8% suggests a competent and controlled landing.
