Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,657 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,657 m of the 2,695 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 267 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A320, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Cork Airport, EICK. This process took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 34, and the takeoff distance was 1,306 meters, which accounted for 62% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 153 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Cork Airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 10°C temperature and winds of 12 knots at 120 degrees. The crosswind was 8 knots, and the tailwind was 9 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile north of the airport and continued for 22 minutes, covering a distance of 134 nautical miles. During this time, the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,282 feet above sea level to 35,494 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,212 feet.
After reaching the desired cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 13 miles east of Howth, Ireland. This phase lasted for 64 minutes and covered a distance of 481 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 23 miles west of Oksbol, Denmark. The descent took 19 minutes, covering a distance of 107 nautical miles, and brought the aircraft down from an altitude of 35,092 feet above sea level to 1,241 feet above sea level.
The final approach to runway 10R at Aarhus Airport, EKAH, was made from the west, heading 100.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,152 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 2,695 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots, and the touchdown distance was good at 126 meters. However, the touchdown speed was fast at 142 knots, and the touchdown rate was hard at -444 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.4 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 4°C temperature and winds of 6 knots at 150 degrees, with a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 2 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 731 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 115 minutes. The aircraft used 4,587 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at EKAH Aarhus Airport, achieving a score of 94.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 100.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,152 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 10R, which has a length of 2,695 meters.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 140 knots. The touchdown distance of 126 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 142 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have contributed to a harder touchdown rate.
The touchdown rate of -444 feet per minute (fpm) was reported as hard, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight bounce or jolt upon touchdown. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.4 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 4°C and a wind speed of 6 knots from 150°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was also 4 knots. These conditions were relatively calm, which may have contributed to the slightly faster touchdown speed.
The total landing distance of 1,436 meters was 53% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's rollout path.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with a score of 94.0%. However, there were some minor deviations in the aircraft's approach and touchdown, which may be addressed in future training or operations to improve the landing performance.
