Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 998 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 998 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 201 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 26 at EDWF Flugplatz Leer-Papenburg. The aircraft, a TBM 850, accelerated down the runway and lifted off at a speed of 102 kt, covering a distance of 78 m, which was 6% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 15 °C and a wind speed of 1 kt from a direction of 270°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and a slight headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airfield, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the town of Jemgum in Lower Saxony, Germany. The aircraft climbed from an altitude of 632 ft above sea level to 1,393 ft, an increase of 761 ft, in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 2 nm. Following this initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nm, 2 miles west of Jemgum.
The enroute descent began 5 miles south of Emden, another town in Lower Saxony, Germany. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 1,646 ft to 866 ft, a decrease of 780 ft, in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nm. Following this descent, the aircraft entered another level cruise, which started overhead the town of Termunten in the Provincie Groningen, The Netherlands. This cruise lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nm.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its final approach to runway 07 at EDWE Emden Airport, flying from the west at a heading of 67.0° and at an altitude of 978 ft above ground level. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15 °C and a wind speed of 1 kt from a direction of 270°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and a slight tailwind.
The aircraft landed on runway 07, which had a length of 998 m. The touchdown speed was 63 kt, which was good, and the touchdown distance was 199 m, which was also good. The touchdown rate was smooth at -135 fpm. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 6.8 m. The total landing distance was 351 m, which was 35% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 7 minutes to cover a distance of less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 23 nm, and the flight duration was 15 minutes. The aircraft used 39 kg of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at EDWE Emden Airport, achieving a high score of 96.9%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 67.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 978 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft then landed on runway 07, which has a length of 998 meters.
The landing was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway threshold. The threshold speed of 66 knots was also within the acceptable range, suggesting that the pilot had maintained control and was on track for a smooth landing. The touchdown distance of 199 meters was also good, indicating that the aircraft had touched down at a reasonable distance from the runway threshold.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was 63 knots, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown rate of -135 feet per minute (fpm) was smooth, indicating that the aircraft had landed without any significant impact or jolt. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.8 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustment by the pilot to ensure proper alignment.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and a slight tailwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance of 351 meters was 35% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control and was able to bring the aircraft to a stop without any issues. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot's skills and experience were evident in the smooth and controlled manner in which the aircraft touched down and came to a stop.
