Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,694 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 385 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 30 at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (LEMG), with a takeoff distance of 1,463 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 156 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 17°C, with a wind speed of 14 knots blowing from a direction of 329°. This resulted in a crosswind of 7 knots and a headwind of 12 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile northwest of the airport and rising from an altitude of 1,046 feet above sea level to 36,939 feet, an increase of 35,893 feet in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 112 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 5 miles northwest of Santa Elena, Andalusia, Spain, and lasted for 62 minutes, covering a distance of 439 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting overhead Villexavier, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, and descending from 36,476 feet to 2,962 feet, a decrease of 33,514 feet in 25 minutes, covering a distance of 123 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, this time starting 1 mile north of Mauves-sur-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France, and lasting for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France, and descending from 2,610 feet to 478 feet, a decrease of 2,133 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 21 at Nantes Atlantique Airport (LFRS) was made from the northeast, with the aircraft heading 213.0° at 1 nautical mile and 384 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 122 knots and a touchdown rate of -300 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 18.6 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 6°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots blowing from a direction of 269°. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,302 meters, which accounted for 48% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 17.9 meters from the centerline.
The aircraft then taxied to the parking area from the runway, a process that took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 690 nautical miles, taking 126 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,311 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at LFRS Nantes Atlantique Airport, achieving a score of 90.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 213.0° at 1 nautical mile and 384 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 132 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown distance of 385 meters, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown speed was also good at 122 knots, and the touchdown rate was firm at -300 feet per minute (fpm). However, there were some issues with the alignment of the aircraft during the landing. The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 18.6 meters from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 17.9 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 6°C and a wind speed of 6 knots at 269°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,302 meters, which is 48% of the runway length. Overall, while there were some issues with alignment, the aircraft performed well in terms of speed and distance, and the landing was considered successful.
