Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,287 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,287 ft of the 11,467 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,992 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by an FNX320_TCACFM aircraft, departing from Miami International Airport (KMIA) on runway 08R. The takeoff roll was 5,147 feet long, covering 49% of the runway, and the aircraft lifted off at a speed of 156 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 85°F, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 99 degrees.
After departing from Miami, the aircraft began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile southeast of Miami Springs, Florida. The climb took 24 minutes to reach an altitude of 38,166 feet, an increase of 37,124 feet, and covered a distance of 140 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, starting 71 miles southwest of Mangrove Cay, Bahamas, and lasted for 116 minutes, covering 855 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its journey, entering a descent phase 27 miles northwest of Sabana Westpunt, Curacao. The descent took 9 minutes to reach an altitude of 4,191 feet, a decrease of 33,774 feet, and covered a distance of 67 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 21 miles southeast of Willemstad, Curacao, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 9 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued to climb and descend multiple times, with each phase lasting from a few minutes to several hours. The climb and descent phases were interspersed with level cruises, during which the aircraft maintained a constant altitude and speed. The aircraft's altitude and speed varied significantly during the flight, with the highest altitude reached being 38,166 feet and the lowest altitude being 1,523 feet.
The final approach to Simón Bolívar International Airport (SVMI) was made from the west, heading 88.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,338 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 10, which was 11,467 feet long. The touchdown point was 621 feet beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 120 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was fair at -240 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 17 feet from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 88°F, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 59 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the headwind was 4 knots. The total landing distance was 5,016 feet, which was 44% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 7 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,261 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 224 minutes. The aircraft used 17,905 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The aircraft, FNX320_TCACFM, successfully landed at Simón Bolívar International Airport (SVMI) with a score of 96.6%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 88.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,338 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 10, which has a length of 11,467 feet.
The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 130 knots. However, the touchdown point was slightly beyond the designated touchdown zone, landing 621 feet down the runway. The touchdown speed of 120 knots was within the acceptable range, but the touchdown rate of -240 feet per minute was only fair.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 88°F and a gentle wind of 4 knots from a direction of 59°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions likely contributed to a relatively smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 5,016 feet was 44% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was excellent, indicating that the pilot maintained good control of the aircraft during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was successful, with only minor deviations from the ideal performance.
