Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,203 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 461 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 31 at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, with the aircraft, a Citation CJ3+ with the registration N60US, taking off in a relatively short distance of 219 meters, which accounted for only 7% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 111 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time were characterized by a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 21 knots from a direction of 289 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began to ascend from an initial altitude of 1,115 feet above sea level to a cruising altitude of 3,036 feet, a vertical gain of 1,921 feet in just one minute. This climb phase covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase followed, during which the aircraft maintained a steady altitude for three minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from a cruising altitude of 3,034 feet to a lower altitude of 1,281 feet, a vertical loss of 1,753 feet in three minutes. This descent phase covered a distance of 7 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 31 at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport was made from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 312.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,236 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 31 was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 88 knots and a touchdown distance of 462 meters. The touchdown rate was excellent, at -91 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline, by 10.4 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 27 knots from a direction of 290 degrees.
The total landing distance was 829 meters, which accounted for 26% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centerline, by 19.5 meters. The total flight distance was 27 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 11 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 89 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Citation CJ3+ aircraft, registered as N60US, successfully landed at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (LEMG) with a score of 90.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 312.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,236 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing was executed on runway 31, which has a length of 3,203 meters. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 97 kt, which may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to flare earlier than expected.
The touchdown distance was good, measuring 462 meters, and the touchdown speed was also within acceptable limits at 88 kt. The touchdown rate was excellent, with a rate of -91 fpm, indicating a smooth and controlled touchdown. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 10.4 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the crosswind or the pilot's alignment during the approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 27 kt from 290°. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 kt and a headwind of 25 kt, which may have affected the aircraft's alignment and touchdown position. The total landing distance was 829 meters, which is 26% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was again misaligned by 19.5 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the same factors that affected the touchdown position. Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal touchdown position and alignment.
