MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,798 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 308 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 27 at LFBE Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport. The takeoff distance was 911 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 13°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 250°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile northeast of Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The climb began at an altitude of 1,170 feet above sea level and reached a maximum altitude of 36,455 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,285 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 130 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 2 miles northwest of Descartes in Centre-Val de Loire, France, and lasted for 29 minutes, covering a distance of 217 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent overhead Gavrelle in Hauts-de-France, France. The descent started at an altitude of 36,631 feet above sea level and ended at an altitude of 1,265 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,367 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 110 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 06 at EHRD Rotterdam The Hague Airport was made from the southwest, heading 58.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,266 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 06, which had a length of 1,798 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 306 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 134 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -271 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 5°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 50°. The crosswind was 0 knots, and the headwind was 3 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking from the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 465 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 83 minutes. The aircraft used 3,683 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at EHRD Rotterdam The Hague Airport, achieving a score of 99.5%. The final approach to runway 06 was conducted from the south west, with a heading of 58.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,266 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 140 knots, which was slightly above the target threshold speed. However, the touchdown distance of 306 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 134 knots was a little fast, but this did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing.
The aircraft's rate of descent was fair at -271 feet per minute, which is a reasonable rate considering the conditions. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 5°C and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 50°. The crosswind component was negligible, with a headwind of 3 knots. These conditions were favorable for the landing, allowing the aircraft to maintain a stable approach and touchdown.
The total landing distance of 1,176 meters was 65% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
