MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,958 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 488 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 taxied from the parking area to runway 01R at YBBN Brisbane International Airport, a movement that lasted 5 minutes and covered 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 01R, the aircraft accelerated over a distance of 1,462 m, representing 42 % of the runway, and achieved liftoff at 161 kt. Local weather was 16 °C with a wind of 3 kt from 199 °, no crosswind and a 3 kt tailwind.
Climb commenced 1 mile north east of YBBN, with the airplane ascending from 992 ft asl to 32,024 ft asl, an increase of 31,032 ft achieved in 14 minutes while covering 88 nm
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 entered the final approach to runway 34L at YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport from the south on a heading of 348.0° at 4 nm and 1,333 ft agl, with temperature 8 °C, wind 9 kt from 260°, a 9 kt cross-wind component and zero head-wind.
At the threshold the aircraft reported a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 139 kt; the runway length was 3,965 m.
Touchdown occurred 76 m beyond the designated touchdown zone with a good touchdown speed of 132 kt and a firm touchdown rate of minus 340 fpm. The touchdown position was misaligned by 7.9 m from the centreline and the total landing distance measured 928 m, representing 23 % of the runway.
During rollout the aircraft remained misaligned by 15.3 m from the centreline.
Minor refinements to lateral control are advised to reduce the 7.9 m touchdown offset and the 15.3 m rollout deviation, which will help maintain the strong overall score of 92.2 %.
