Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,935 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 330 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Carcassonne Airport (LFMK), the Black Square Caravan Professional Amphibian N511KG initiated its takeoff roll on runway 27. The aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 77 kt, clearing the runway threshold in 508 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway's length. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 17 °C, with a wind speed of 18 kt blowing from a direction of 260 °. The crosswind component was minimal at 5 kt, while the headwind component was 18 kt.
As the aircraft transitioned into the enroute climb phase, it began ascending from 1,478 ft above sea level (asl) to 4,493 ft asl, a vertical gain of 3,015 ft in just 3 minutes, while covering a distance of 4 nm. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, maintaining an altitude of 4,493 ft asl for 13 minutes as it covered a distance of 26 nm. The crew initiated a descent from 4,509 ft asl to 1,009 ft asl, a decrease of 3,501 ft in 5 minutes, while covering 12 nm. The aircraft continued to alternate between level cruise and climb phases, with notable climbs from 1,065 ft asl to 3,265 ft asl and from 1,817 ft asl to 3,329 ft asl. The final approach to runway 27 at LFMK Carcassonne Airport was initiated from the east, with the aircraft aligning with the runway at 1 nm and 645 ft above ground level (agl).
The aircraft landed on runway 27, with a touchdown distance of 329 m, which accounted for 27% of the runway's length. The touchdown speed was 68 kt, and the touchdown rate was -44 fpm, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 477 m, and the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 3 minutes, covering less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 103 nm, and the aircraft used 137 kg of fuel during the flight, which lasted 51 minutes.
The final approach to runway 27 at LFMK Carcassonne Airport from the east was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 274.0° at 1 nm and 645 ft above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 74 kt, well within the acceptable range. The aircraft touched down smoothly at a speed of 68 kt, with a touchdown rate of -44 fpm, indicating a perfect touchdown characteristic.
The touchdown distance of 329 m was well within the acceptable range, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 13°C and a headwind of 18 kt, presented a moderate challenge, but the pilot's skill and experience ensured a safe and controlled touchdown. The total landing distance of 477 m, accounting for 27% of the runway length, was also within the acceptable range.
The rollout phase was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a very good alignment on the runway centerline. The overall performance of the pilot and the aircraft was exceptional, with a score of 99.2% indicating a near-perfect landing. The combination of good approach quality, smooth touchdown, and controlled rollout ensured a safe and efficient landing, showcasing the pilot's expertise and the aircraft's capabilities.
