Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,959 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,959 m of the 4,022 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 285 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 34R at RJTT Tokyo Haneda International Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,355 meters, which accounted for 79% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 193 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 330 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 10 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile north of RJTT Tokyo Haneda International Airport, and climbed from an altitude of 1,041 feet above sea level to 31,737 feet above sea level, an increase of 30,696 feet, in 11 minutes and covering a distance of 109 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 29 miles south of RJAZ Kozushima Airport and lasted for 14 minutes, covering a distance of 700 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 33,022 feet above sea level to 37,220 feet above sea level, an increase of 4,199 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 104 nautical miles. The climb started 88 miles southwest of ROMD Minamidaito Airport.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started at a specific latitude and longitude and lasted for 35 minutes, covering a distance of 1,876 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting at a specific latitude and longitude, and descended from 37,403 feet above sea level to 1,457 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,946 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 122 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 02C at WSSS Singapore Changi Airport was made from the south, heading 23.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,415 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 287 meters and a touchdown speed of 148 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown rate was firm at -378 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.1 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 0 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,891 meters, which accounted for 47% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 2,923 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 100 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 52,085 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at Singapore Changi Airport's runway 02C with a score of 97.6%. The final approach was initiated from the south, heading 23.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,415 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was characterized by a good threshold height, which is a critical factor in ensuring a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 152 kn, registering at 153 kn. However, the touchdown distance of 287 meters was considered good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain control and stability during the landing process. The touchdown speed of 148 kn was a little fast, but this did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing.
The touchdown rate of -378 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, which is a desirable characteristic in a landing. This indicates that the aircraft was able to absorb the impact of touchdown smoothly and maintain control. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.1 meters from the centerline, but this did not appear to have any significant impact on the overall performance of the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a wind speed of 3 kn at 0°. The crosswind was minimal at 1 kn, and the headwind was 3 kn, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing process. The total landing distance of 1,891 meters was 47% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain control and stability during the rollout phase of the landing. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with a score of 97.6% indicating a high level of proficiency and control.
