Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,685 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,685 m of the 3,813 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 554 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 20C at KBNA Nashville International Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,049 meters, which accounted for 84% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 177 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 30°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 234 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, while the headwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb started 2 miles south of KBNA Nashville International Airport, where the aircraft climbed from 1,575 feet above sea level to 31,212 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,637 feet in 19 minutes and covering a distance of 118 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 10 miles southeast of Burnside, Kentucky, and lasted for 163 minutes, covering a distance of 1,328 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb 27 miles south of Burgeo, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, where it climbed from 31,291 feet above sea level to 33,259 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,968 feet in 3 minutes and covering a distance of 30 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 30 miles west of Miquelon, Miquelon-Langlade, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and lasted for 202 minutes, covering a distance of 1,902 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb at a specific latitude and longitude, where it climbed from 32,749 feet above sea level to 34,683 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,934 feet in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 15 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 91 miles southwest of Hugh Town, Isles of Scilly, England, and lasted for 216 minutes, covering a distance of 1,817 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb 68 miles northeast of Al Bardiyah, Al Butnan, Libya, where it climbed from 34,888 feet above sea level to 36,682 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,794 feet in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 14 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 63 miles north of HE40 Sidi EL Barrani Airport, Sidi El Barrani, Egypt, and lasted for 110 minutes, covering a distance of 868 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 63 miles north of EM03 Red Sea Moving Carrier - CVN69, Mecca Region, Saudi Arabia, where it descended from 36,724 feet above sea level to 1,291 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,434 feet in 26 minutes and covering a distance of 91 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34L at OEJN King Abdulaziz International Airport was from the south, heading 340.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,262 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 34L was successful, with a touchdown point 138 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 117 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was firm at -367 feet per minute.
The total landing distance was 1,604 meters, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.6 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 31°C temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 0 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, while the
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at OEJN King Abdulaziz International Airport, achieving a score of 90.8%. The final approach to runway 34L was initiated from the south, with the aircraft heading 340.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold speed being slightly below the target at 132 knots. The touchdown point was located 138 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 117 knots was within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -367 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, suggesting a stable and controlled landing.
However, there were some minor issues with the alignment of the aircraft during the landing. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.6 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centerline. These deviations are relatively minor and may not have had a significant impact on the overall safety of the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 31°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 0°. The crosswind and headwind components were both minimal, at 1 knot each, which suggests that the aircraft was not significantly affected by wind during the landing.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft came to a stop within a reasonable distance of 1,604 meters, which is approximately 42% of the runway length. While there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters, the pilot's skills and the aircraft's performance were sufficient to ensure a safe and controlled landing.
