Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,311 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,311 m of the 3,505 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 729 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-800 began at Baghdad International Airport (ORBI) in Baghdad, Iraq. The taxi from the parking area to the runway took 6 minutes and covered 1 nm. The departure roll was from runway 33R at ORBI, and the takeoff distance was 3,639 ft, which was 28% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 150 knots.
During the enroute climb, the aircraft started climbing 1 mile north of ORBI and ascended from 1,138 ft above sea level to 31,037 ft, covering a distance of 132 nm in 19 minutes. The weather at the time showed a temperature of 62°F, with a 1-knot wind coming from 209° resulting in a negligible crosswind and tailwind.
After reaching cruising altitude, the enroute level cruise began 21 miles southwest of Qalat Sikar Air Base (ORAI) in Muhafazat Dhi Qar, lasting 11 minutes and covering 101 nm.
The enroute descent commenced 11 miles northwest of Al Mufrash Airport (ORAZ) in Muhafazat al Basrah, descending from 31,043 ft to 2,145 ft in 18 minutes, covering 84 nm.
The landing took place on runway 33R at Kuwait International Airport (OKBK) in Kuwait. The runway length was 11,499 ft, and the aircraft touched down at a height of 57 ft above ground level with a speed of 145 knots. The touchdown was 2,401 ft from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 133 knots and a Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) reading of -212 ft/min. The total landing distance was 7,329 ft, which was 64% of the runway length. The local weather at the time of landing was 78°F, with a 6-knot wind coming from 65° resulting in a 5-knot crosswind.
After landing, taxiing from the runway to the parking area took 3 minutes to complete. The total flight distance covered was 327 nm, the flight lasted 508 minutes, and the aircraft consumed 6,871 lbs of fuel throughout the journey.
