MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,593 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,593 m of the 3,707 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 301 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Sofia Airport, Bulgaria, the Airbus A321 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. As the aircraft lined up on runway 27, it was cleared for departure, and the takeoff roll commenced. The aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 172 knots, having covered a distance of 1,679 meters, which represented 47% of the runway length.
As the aircraft climbed away from Sofia Airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport and continued for 22 minutes, during which time it ascended from 2,728 feet above sea level to 33,799 feet. This climb phase covered a distance of 149 nautical miles. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 45 minutes and covered a distance of 354 nautical miles. The cruise phase took place approximately 9 miles west of Golubac, Serbia. After the cruise phase, the aircraft began its enroute descent, which started overhead Dolni Vilemovice, Czech Republic, and continued for 22 minutes, during which time it descended from 33,916 feet to 2,582 feet. This descent phase covered a distance of 114 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached Václav Havel Airport Prague, it began its final approach to runway 24, which it executed from the north-east, heading 245.0 degrees. The aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 146 knots, with a touchdown distance of 301 meters, which represented 41% of the runway length. The touchdown rate was somewhat hard, at -524 feet per minute, but the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 627 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 4,924 kilograms of fuel during the flight, which lasted a total of 1 hour and 9 minutes.
The aircraft touched down on runway 24 at LKPR Václav Havel Airport Prague, demonstrating a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 147 kt, well within the acceptable range. The approach quality was excellent, with a steady descent from 1,379 ft agl to the runway threshold. The touchdown distance of 301 m was also satisfactory, indicating a well-executed flare.
However, the touchdown speed of 146 kt was slightly above the ideal, resulting in a very hard touchdown rate of -524 fpm. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 0 °C and a gentle headwind of 4 kt, contributed to a relatively smooth landing. The crosswind component of 6 kt was well managed, with the aircraft maintaining its heading.
The total landing distance of 1,515 m, accounting for 41% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 95.3%.
