MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,615 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,615 m of the 3,357 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 593 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Embraer E175, then departed from runway 12L at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (KMSP). The takeoff distance was 1,065 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 145 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 13 knots blowing from a direction of 130 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 12 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile east of KMSP, rising from an altitude of 1,734 feet above sea level to 31,202 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,468 feet, in 10 minutes and covering a distance of 71 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south east of Onamia, Minnesota. This phase lasted for 9 minutes and covered a distance of 185 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 3 miles south west of the Warroad International Memorial Airport (KRRT), descending from 31,568 feet above sea level to 2,800 feet above sea level, a decrease of 28,767 feet, in 12 minutes and covering a distance of 82 nautical miles.
The aircraft entered another level cruise phase, this time starting 3 miles north of St. Adolphe, Manitoba, Canada. This phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started 6 miles north west of St. Adolphe. The descent from 2,856 feet above sea level to 1,952 feet above sea level, a decrease of 904 feet, took 2 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 36 at the Winnipeg / James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (CYWG) was made from the south, with a heading of 8.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,165 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 36, which had a length of 3,357 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 137 knots.
The touchdown point was 171 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 128 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -208 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 7 knots blowing from a direction of 350 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,529 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 357 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 45 minutes. The aircraft used 1,353 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Embraer E175 aircraft successfully landed at Winnipeg / James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (CYWG) with a score of 98.3%. The final approach to runway 36 was initiated from the south, with a heading of 8.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,165 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 3,357 meters. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, coming in at 137 knots. This may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to flare the aircraft earlier than expected.
The touchdown point was 171 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively short distance. However, the touchdown speed of 128 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, indicating that the aircraft may have been touching down with a bit too much energy. The touchdown rate of -208 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, suggesting that the aircraft was not experiencing a significant amount of deceleration upon touchdown.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline as it touched down. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 350°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots, which would have helped to slow the aircraft down during the approach.
The total landing distance of 1,529 meters was 46% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline as it rolled out after touchdown. Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down safely and rolling out without any issues.
