Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,615 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,615 m of the 3,219 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 462 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KDEN Denver International Airport, a process that took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 17L, with a takeoff distance of 1,030 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 152 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 6°C temperature and a wind speed of 3 knots at 260°. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 1 knot. After departing from KDEN, the aircraft began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles southeast of the airport and rising from 6,387 feet above sea level to 38,417 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,030 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 109 nautical miles.
The enroute climb was followed by a level cruise, which started 8 miles south of 92CO Lake Creek Ranch Airport and lasted for 14 minutes, covering a distance of 295 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 8 miles northeast of KSNO Snowflake Airport and descending from 38,281 feet above sea level to 5,035 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,247 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 135 nautical miles.
The enroute descent was followed by another level cruise, which started 1 mile northeast of Litchfield Park and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 1 mile northeast of Avondale and descending from 5,025 feet above sea level to 2,418 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,607 feet in 4 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 08 at KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 90.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,276 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 08, which had a length of 3,219 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 141 knots.
The touchdown point was 46 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 132 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -135 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 21°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 90°, with a crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,535 meters, which accounted for 48% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, a process that took 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 564 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 56 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 3,797 kilograms.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX) with a score of 99.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,276 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed smoothly on runway 08, which has a length of 3,219 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 140 kt, registering at 141 kt. The touchdown point was 46 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal landing spot. However, the touchdown speed of 132 kt was a bit faster than the desired speed, which could have been a concern for the aircraft's safety and performance.
Despite the minor deviations, the touchdown rate was smooth, with a descent rate of -135 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the landing. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 21°C and a gentle wind of 4 kt at 90°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and a moderate headwind of 3 kt.
The total landing distance was 1,535 meters, which accounted for 48% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, suggesting that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to touch down safely on the runway. While there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters, the aircraft's performance was satisfactory, and the landing was executed with precision and control.
