Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,993 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 461 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 17 at LPPR Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, Portugal. The takeoff distance was 1,118 meters, which is 37% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 156 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, a wind speed of 9 knots at 170°, with no crosswind but a headwind of 9 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to cruising altitude, it first ascended from 1,240 feet above sea level to 35,967 feet, an increase of 34,727 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 123 nautical miles. This enroute climb started overhead LPPR Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, lasting 86 minutes and covering 653 nautical miles, starting 1 mile northwest of Begonte in Galicia, Spain.
The flight continued with another enroute climb, this time from 36,533 feet to 37,160 feet, an increase of 627 feet in 2 minutes, covering 16 nautical miles, starting 3 miles northeast of Dun-sur-Meuse in Grand Est, France. Following this, the aircraft entered another level cruise, lasting 32 minutes and covering 231 nautical miles, starting overhead Montigny-sur-Chiers in Grand Est, France.
As the flight progressed, the aircraft began its descent from 37,189 feet to 35,184 feet, a decrease of 2,005 feet in 2 minutes, covering 16 nautical miles, starting overhead Vippachedelhausen in Thuringia, Germany. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, lasting 4 minutes and covering 34 nautical miles, starting 1 mile southeast of Altenroda in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
The flight continued with a descent from 35,211 feet to 4,519 feet, a decrease of 30,691 feet in 13 minutes, covering 34 nautical miles, starting 2 miles northeast of Delitzsch in Saxony, Germany. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, lasting 7 minutes and covering 21 nautical miles, starting overhead Niemegk in Brandenburg, Germany.
As the flight neared its destination, the aircraft began its final descent from 3,847 feet to 1,407 feet, a decrease of 2,440 feet in 3 minutes, covering 8 nautical miles, starting 2 miles west of Ludwigsfelde in Brandenburg, Germany. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 07L at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport from the southwest, heading 69.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,240 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 07L at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport, with a runway length of 2,993 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was 141 knots. The touchdown distance was 462 meters, and the touchdown speed was 133 knots, both of which were good. The touchdown rate was also good at -173 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 3°C, a wind speed of 4 knots at 89°, with a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,296 meters, which is 43% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The taxi
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport on runway 07L, achieving a high score of 99.7%. The final approach was conducted from the southwest, heading 69.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,240 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 141 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown distance of 462 meters, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown speed was 133 knots, and the touchdown rate was -173 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments during future approaches.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 3°C and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 89°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 4 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the approach. The total landing distance was 1,296 meters, accounting for 43% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and the runway's length of 2,993 meters.
During the rollout phase, the aircraft maintained perfect alignment with the runway, indicating a high level of control and precision from the pilots. Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft performed well under the given conditions.
