Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 846 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 846 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 201 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the NXCub started with a departure roll on runway 34 at LFNC Saint Crepin. The takeoff distance was 426m, covering 50% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 75 kn. The local weather at the time of departure was 25°C with a 7 kn wind coming from 202°. There was a crosswind of 5 kn and a tailwind of 6 kn during takeoff.
After departing, the enroute level cruise began overhead La Roche-de-Rame in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. This portion of the flight lasted 2 minutes and covered 4 nm.
The landing took place back on runway 34 at LFNC Saint Crepin. The runway length was 846m, with the height at threshold being 37 ft agl. The speed at threshold was 61 kn. The touchdown occurred 198 m from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 50 kn and a vertical speed indicator reading of -314 ft/m. The local weather at the time of landing was 16°C with a 2 kn wind coming from 269°. There was a crosswind of 2 kn and a headwind of 1 kn during landing.
The total landing distance was 360m, covering 42% of the runway. The total flight distance for the journey was 13 nm, taking 20 minutes and using 6 kg of fuel.
Great job on achieving a landing score of 97.8%! Let's break down the different phases of the landing and see where you excelled and where there is room for improvement.
During the Approach Phase, it was noted that there was a poor descent path above the glideslope limit. This means that the aircraft came in too high during the approach, which can lead to a harder landing and potentially impact the overall smoothness of the touchdown. It is important to carefully monitor the descent path and make adjustments as needed to ensure a more precise approach in future landings.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, it is great to see that the threshold height and landing flare were good. These are important elements of a successful landing and indicate that you were able to control the aircraft effectively during this phase. However, the touchdown rate was noted as hard and the speed was a little above target. This might have contributed to the harder landing and could be a focus area for improvement in the future. Additionally, the touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and the runway touchdown position being 2.3 m from the centerline are areas where more precision can be achieved with practice and attention to detail.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, it was noted that the runway alignment was very good. This is a crucial aspect of the landing process and suggests that you were able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, your landing score is impressive and demonstrates a high level of skill and proficiency. By focusing on areas such as monitoring the descent path during the approach, adjusting touchdown speed, and improving precision in touchdown positioning, you can continue to refine your technique and aim for even higher scores in future landings. Keep up the great work and continue to practice and refine your skills to achieve even better results in the future.
