Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,888 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,888 m of the 3,411 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 554 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 35R at LTFM İstanbul Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,188 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 138 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 13 knots at a direction of 70 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 12 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles northwest of LTFM İstanbul Airport Arnavutköy, and climbed from an altitude of 1,349 feet above sea level to 33,914 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,565 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 67 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile north of Gursu, Bursa, Turkey, and lasted for 14 minutes, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 6 miles southeast of Hocalar, Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, and descended from an altitude of 33,861 feet above sea level to 2,898 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,963 feet, in 25 minutes and covering a distance of 120 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 5 miles southwest of FC02 Antalya Static Carrier - CVN78, Antalya, Turkey, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 5 miles north of FC02 Antalya Static Carrier - CVN78, and descended from an altitude of 2,405 feet above sea level to 1,440 feet above sea level, a decrease of 965 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 36R at LTAI Antalya International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 6.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,256 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 36R, which had a length of 3,411 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 145 knots.
The touchdown point was 139 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 140 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was excellent at -59 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 5 knots at a direction of 20 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 5 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,808 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 7 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 324 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 76 minutes. The aircraft used 2,955 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LTAI Antalya International Airport, achieving a high score of 98.5%. The final approach to runway 36R was conducted from the south, with a heading of 6.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,256 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being satisfactory. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 145 knots, indicating a slight deviation from the optimal landing conditions. The touchdown point was located 139 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation.
The touchdown speed of 140 knots was slightly faster than the ideal speed, but the touchdown rate of -59 feet per minute was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and precision in navigating the aircraft to the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 20°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 5 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,808 meters was 53% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down smoothly and coming to a stop in a controlled manner. The high score of 98.5% reflects the pilot's skill and experience in navigating the Boeing 737-800 aircraft to a safe and successful landing.
