Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,677 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,677 m of the 2,312 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 396 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A319, then departed from runway 24L at LEPA Palma de Mallorca Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,420 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 152 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 16 knots at 210 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile southwest of LEPA Palma de Mallorca Airport. The climb took 19 minutes and covered a distance of 98 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,035 feet above sea level to 36,848 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,813 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began 39 miles northeast of Ferreries, Spain. This phase of the flight lasted for 78 minutes and covered a distance of 475 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent, which began 2 miles south of San Martino in Passiria, Italy. The descent took 28 minutes and covered a distance of 95 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 36,729 feet above sea level to 1,830 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,899 feet.
The final approach to runway 33 at LOWS Salzburg Airport was made from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 338.0 degrees at 1 nautical mile and 403 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 33, which had a length of 2,312 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 2 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots at 270 degrees.
The touchdown distance was 395 meters, and the touchdown speed was 118 knots, both of which were considered good. However, the touchdown rate was hard at -447 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, but the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.9 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 676 nautical miles and took 122 minutes to complete, using 4,393 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A319 aircraft successfully landed at LOWS Salzburg Airport, achieving a high score of 94.4%. The final approach to runway 33 was conducted from the south east, with a heading of 338.0° at 1 nautical mile and 403 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision during the approach, ultimately landing safely on the runway.
The landing was executed with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed of 125 knots was also satisfactory. The touchdown distance of 395 meters was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 118 knots was also good. However, the touchdown rate was slightly hard, coming in at -447 feet per minute (fpm). Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 2°C and a wind speed of 2 knots from 270°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. These conditions likely contributed to the smooth and controlled nature of the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,590 meters was 69% of the available runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.9 meters from the centreline, indicating that the aircraft may have drifted slightly during the rollout phase. Despite this, the landing was still considered successful, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop safely.
