Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,695 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 496 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A319 then departed from runway 33 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport, with a takeoff distance of 1,205 meters, which was 37% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 9 knots at 320°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile south west of Langenhorn, a town in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Germany. The climb took 9 minutes and covered 47 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,079 feet above sea level to 22,882 feet above sea level, an increase of 21,803 feet. The enroute level cruise then started overhead Brekendorf, a town in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and lasted for 34 minutes, covering 39 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 6 miles west of EK57 Bjoernoe Bjoernoe, a location in the Region Syddanmark, Denmark. The descent took 17 minutes and covered 79 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 22,828 feet above sea level to 1,249 feet above sea level, a decrease of 21,579 feet. The final approach to runway 28L at EKAH Aarhus Airport was made from the east, with a heading of 281.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,165 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 28L at EKAH Aarhus Airport was successful, with a total landing distance of 1,270 meters, which was 47% of the runway. The touchdown point was 73 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 122 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was also good at -165 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 13 knots at 320°.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, a process that took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 173 nautical miles, and the flight took 43 minutes. The aircraft used 1,723 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at EKAH Aarhus Airport, achieving a high score of 98.5%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 281.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,165 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 28L, which has a length of 2,695 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down slightly beyond the touchdown zone, 73 meters past the designated area. However, the touchdown speed of 122 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -165 feet per minute (fpm) was also good. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 134 knots, but this did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C and a wind speed of 13 knots from a direction of 320°. This resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a headwind of 10 knots, which may have contributed to the slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position by 3.1 meters from the centerline.
Despite this minor deviation, the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft's brakes and control systems functioned effectively during the landing. The total landing distance of 1,270 meters was 47% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the weather conditions and the aircraft's performance. Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft's systems performed well under the given conditions.
