Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,209 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 448 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 02 at SLCO Capitán Aníbal Arab Airport. The takeoff distance was 667 meters, which accounted for 33% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 95 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 16°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. The crosswind was 1 knot, while the headwind was 0 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile northwest of Cobija, Bolivia. The climb took 8 minutes and covered 39 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,677 feet above sea level to 10,006 feet above sea level, an increase of 8,329 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 34 miles northeast of SPOV Shiringayoc/Hacienda Hda Mejia Airport Leon Velarde in Madre de Dios, Peru. This phase lasted 16 minutes and covered 89 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 38 miles north of SLIX Ixiamas Airport Iturralde in the Departamento de La Paz, Bolivia. The descent took 8 minutes and covered 34 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 9,990 feet above sea level to 2,096 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,894 feet.
The final approach to runway 17 at SLIX Ixiamas Airport was made from the north, with a heading of 172.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,239 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 17, which had a length of 2,209 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 80 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 447 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 67 knots. The touchdown rate was smooth at -134 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. The crosswind was 1 knot, while the headwind was 0 knots. The total landing distance was 703 meters, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 6 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 169 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 41 minutes. The aircraft used 149 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at SLIX Ixiamas Airport, achieving a high score of 96.2%. The final approach to runway 17 was conducted from the north, with a heading of 172.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,239 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision during the approach, ultimately landing safely on the runway.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was well above the target speed of 80 knots. This indicates that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft's descent and speed during the approach. The touchdown distance of 447 meters was also within acceptable limits, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed and altitude during the landing.
However, the touchdown speed of 67 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly longer rollout distance. The touchdown rate of -134 feet per minute (fpm) was smooth, indicating that the pilot had successfully controlled the aircraft's descent and avoided any hard landings.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft aligning perfectly with the centerline of the runway. This is a critical aspect of landing, as it ensures that the aircraft remains stable and under control during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component of 1 knot, and no headwind component. The total landing distance of 703 meters was 32% of the runway length, which is within acceptable limits.
Finally, the runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot had successfully controlled the aircraft's speed and direction during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was a success, with the pilot demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases.
