MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Departure
Use smaller, smoother aileron inputs to hold the climb bank angle near wings-level.
What happened: During Climb 3 the bank angle averaged 15°, well beyond a steady wings-level climb.
Watch for: Attitude indicator - bank angle, keeping it close to wings-level through the climb.
Arrival
Make small rudder corrections against a fixed point at the far end of the runway to stop the drift as soon as it starts in the flare.
What happened: On the landing you drifted 7.6 m off the centreline, and that kind of lateral drift usually carries through to a touchdown point 6.8 m off centreline and into a rollout that is still skewed off the runway centreline.
Watch for: Heading indicator: track straight down the extended runway centreline through touchdown and rollout.
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The approach before the go-around was abandoned. Its marks are shown, but only the approach that landed counts.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
At the 500 ft gate: centreline 9.7° off, against a 1° limit.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,276 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,276 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 490 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The ATR-42 taxied to runway 23L at NZAA Auckland International Airport and commenced its take-off roll, covering 967 m which represented 26 % of the available runway. Rotation was achieved at 112 kt. Ambient conditions were 19 °C with a wind of 8 kt from 280°, including a 4 kt cross-wind component and a 7 kt head-wind component.
After liftoff the aircraft entered the climb phase overhead NZAA, ascending from 744 ft asl to 18 992 ft asl - a gain of 18 248 ft - in 10 minutes while traversing 30 nm.
The first cruise segment began 9 nm north-east of NZLD Limestone Downs Airport and was maintained for 8 minutes, during which 35 nm were covered.
Descent commenced 3 nm south-east of NZTA Te Aroha Airfield, with the aircraft descending from 18 999 ft asl to 2 002 ft asl - a loss of 16 996 ft - over 15 minutes and covering 60 nm.
A second cruise interval started 3 nm west of NZWK Whakatane Airport, lasting 3 minutes and spanning 8 nm.
The initial final-approach to runway 27 at NZWK began at 1 425 ft agl and descended to 217 ft agl in 62 seconds; the approach was recorded as having scored on the stabilisation gates.
At 787 ft agl the crew executed a go-around on runway 27, aborting the approach and climbing away before re-establishing a subsequent approach.
A second final-approach to runway 27 followed, descending from 775 ft agl to 56 ft agl in 55 seconds, again scoring on the stabilisation gates.
Landing was completed on runway 27, whose length is 1 276 m. The threshold speed was 111 kt, touchdown occurred at 100 kt, and the aircraft touched down 65 m beyond the touchdown zone with a vertical speed of minus 182 fpm. The touchdown point was offset 6.8 m from the centreline, and the total landing roll measured 860 m, representing 67 % of the runway. Local weather at the time was 17 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 307°, a 1 kt cross-wind and a 4 kt head-wind component. Runway rollout alignment was reported as very good.
In total the flight covered 148 nm, required 43 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 2 268 kg of fuel.
