MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,865 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 340 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Zürich Airport (LSZH), the Embraer E190 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. As it reached the runway, it initiated its departure roll on runway 28, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 150 knots. The takeoff distance of 1,699 meters was 68% of the runway length, and the aircraft lifted off into the local weather conditions, which featured a temperature of 14°C and a wind of 18 knots at 260°.
As the aircraft climbed to its enroute cruise altitude, it passed overhead Rumlang, Switzerland, and continued to ascend to 35,707 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,233 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 131 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase started 3 miles south of Torcenay, France, and lasted 45 minutes, covering 344 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, first from 35,999 feet to 20,958 feet in 7 minutes, covering 51 nautical miles, and then from 20,994 feet to 15,389 feet in 3 minutes, covering 14 nautical miles. The final descent phase saw the aircraft descend from 15,389 feet to 3,570 feet in 8 minutes, covering 32 nautical miles.
After a series of level cruise phases, the aircraft began its final approach to runway 23R at Manchester Airport (EGCC), descending from 3,375 feet to 1,597 feet in 2 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles. The landing was executed with a touchdown distance of 347 meters, which was good, but the touchdown speed of 148 knots was slightly too fast. The aircraft touched down with a firm rate of -314 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 620 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 3,265 kilograms of fuel during the flight, which lasted 1 hour and 11 minutes.
The Embraer E190 touched down on runway 23R at EGCC Manchester Airport with a score of 92.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 231.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,368 feet above ground level. The final approach quality was satisfactory, with a good threshold height. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the desired level at 150 knots, indicating a need for adjustment in the approach configuration.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft exhibited a firm touchdown rate of -314 feet per minute, with a touchdown speed of 148 knots, which was too fast. The touchdown distance of 347 meters was within acceptable limits. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway centerline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 12°C and a wind of 9 knots at 80°, contributed to a relatively calm landing environment. The crosswind component was minimal at 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 8 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,396 meters was 57% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with some areas for improvement in terms of approach speed and touchdown speed.
