Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,936 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 393 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, an EasyJet FWB, then departed from runway 06 at Luxembourg-Findel International Airport (ELLX). The takeoff distance was 1,000 meters, which is 25% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 158 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 1 knot from a direction of 270 degrees. The crosswind and tailwind components were both 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead the town of Sandweiler in Luxembourg. The climb took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 70 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 2,300 feet above sea level to 39,006 feet.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting overhead the town of Engwiller in France. This phase lasted for 9 minutes and covered a distance of 64 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its first descent, starting 1 mile east of the town of Nehren in Germany. The descent took 3 minutes and covered a distance of 27 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 39,007 feet to 37,505 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 1 mile northeast of the town of Alleshausen in Germany. This phase lasted for 21 minutes and covered a distance of 164 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its second descent, starting 1 mile west of the town of Revine in Italy. The descent took 16 minutes and covered a distance of 88 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 37,205 feet to 2,809 feet.
The aircraft then entered a final level cruise phase, starting 8 miles west of the town of Fazana in Croatia. This phase lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 09 at Pula Airport (LDPL), which is located in Croatia. The approach was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 88.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,343 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing was made on runway 09, which has a length of 2,936 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 121 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 385 meters, and the touchdown speed was 117 knots. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -280 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 8 knots from a direction of 80 degrees. The crosswind component was 1 knot, and the headwind component was 8 knots. The total landing distance was 1,035 meters, which is 35% of the runway length.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 432 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 78 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 5,968 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The aircraft, identified as FWB EasyJet, successfully landed at LDPL Pula Airport with a high score of 99.4%. The final approach to runway 09 was initiated from the west, with a heading of 88.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,343 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft demonstrated good control and precision, touching down on the runway at a speed of 121 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed. The touchdown distance of 385 meters was also considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 117 knots was within the acceptable range, further emphasizing the pilot's skill and control.
However, the touchdown rate of -280 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight bounce or oscillation upon touchdown. This could be attributed to various factors, including the aircraft's weight, the runway's surface, or the pilot's technique.
Despite the slightly subpar touchdown rate, the aircraft's runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained a stable and controlled approach. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 11°C and a headwind of 8 knots, also contributed to the successful landing.
The total landing distance of 1,035 meters, which accounted for 35% of the runway length, was also within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the critical phase of landing.
Overall, the FWB EasyJet's landing at LDPL Pula Airport was a success, with the pilot demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases.
