MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,315 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 326 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Zürich Airport (LSZH) took approximately 7 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The Airbus A350-900 then began its departure roll on runway 28, utilizing 50% of the 2,500-meter runway to achieve a takeoff distance of 1,254 meters. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 156 knots, with a local temperature of 29°C and a negligible wind effect.
As the aircraft climbed to its enroute altitude, it passed overhead Rumlang, Switzerland, and continued to ascend to 37,003 feet above sea level, a gain of 34,662 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 101 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase commenced overhead Morges, Switzerland, and lasted for 48 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 367 nautical miles. Subsequently, the aircraft began its enroute descent 54 miles north of Ferreries, Spain, and descended from 36,696 feet to 1,042 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,655 feet in 21 minutes, covering 121 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 06L at Palma de Mallorca Airport (LEPA) was initiated from the southwest, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 57.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,002 feet above ground level. The landing was executed on the 3,327-meter runway, with a touchdown distance of 327 meters, slightly above the threshold speed of 132 knots. The touchdown speed of 128 knots was a little fast, and the touchdown rate of -232 feet per minute was fair. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.4 meters from the centerline. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 3 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 597 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 95 minutes and a fuel consumption of 8,654 kilograms.
The aircraft touched down on runway 06L at LEPA Palma de Mallorca Airport with a good threshold height, indicating a well-executed approach. The threshold speed of 132 kt was within acceptable limits, demonstrating a high degree of control and precision. The touchdown distance of 327 m was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, the touchdown speed of 128 kt was slightly above the optimal range, resulting in a fair touchdown rate of -232 fpm. This may have been due to a slight overcorrection or a minor deviation from the ideal approach path. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.4 m from the centreline, which may have been a result of the crosswind component of 1 kt.
Despite the minor deviations, the aircraft's rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating a high degree of control and stability. The total landing distance of 1,177 m, which accounted for 35% of the runway length, was also within acceptable limits. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 99.0% reflecting the high degree of precision and control demonstrated throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
