Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,876 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,876 m of the 2,512 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 777 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 17 at LPPR Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport, located in Porto, Portugal. The takeoff distance was 1,621 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 161 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 24°C temperature and winds of 8 knots at 109 degrees. The crosswind was 7 knots, while the headwind was 4 knots. The enroute climb began overhead the airport, where the aircraft ascended from 1,288 feet above sea level to 35,896 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,608 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 96 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 7 miles northeast of Silleda, Spain, and lasted for 89 minutes, covering a distance of 632 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 1 mile southeast of Mory, France, where it descended from 35,746 feet above sea level to 1,373 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,373 feet in 33 minutes, covering a distance of 119 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 03 at EHEH Eindhoven Airport was made from the southwest, heading 36.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,299 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 03 was successful, with the touchdown point being 370 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 147 knots, which was slightly fast, but the touchdown rate was good at -195 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.8 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at Eindhoven Airport were 20°C temperature and winds of 7 knots at 90 degrees, with a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,805 meters, which accounted for 72% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 856 nautical miles, taking 152 minutes, and the aircraft used 5,591 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at Eindhoven Airport, achieving a score of 92.0%. The final approach to runway 03 was initiated from the southwest, heading 36.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,299 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 370 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly off-center. The touchdown speed of 147 knots was faster than the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have applied a bit more braking than necessary. However, the touchdown rate of -195 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good, suggesting that the pilot managed to control the descent effectively.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 20°C and a gentle wind of 7 knots at 90°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not appear to pose any significant challenges for the pilot.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.8 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the pilot's decision to touch down slightly beyond the designated zone. Nevertheless, the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
The total landing distance of 1,805 meters was 72% of the available runway length, which is a relatively safe margin. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft during the approach and touchdown phases. However, there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and alignment with the centerline.
