Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,379 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 386 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 30 at LFOB Paris-Beauvais Airport, where the Airbus A320 took off after covering 32% of the 762-meter runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 158 kt, and the local weather conditions at the time were characterized by a temperature of 8 °C and a wind speed of 6 kt at 20 °, resulting in a 6 kt crosswind and a 1 kt headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it began its enroute climb from 1,385 ft above sea level (asl) to 2,934 ft asl, an increase of 1,549 ft in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 3 nm. The climb took place overhead Tille in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Following the climb, the aircraft initiated its enroute descent from 2,818 ft asl to 978 ft asl, a decrease of 1,839 ft in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nm. This descent occurred overhead Allonne in the Hauts-de-France region.
The final approach to runway 30 at LFOB Paris-Beauvais Airport was made from the south east, with the aircraft heading 304.0 ° at 1 nm and 620 ft above ground level (agl). The landing was executed on the 2,379-meter runway, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed that was slightly above the target at 121 kt. The touchdown distance was good at 386 m, and the touchdown speed was also good at 111 kt, with a touchdown rate of -200 fpm.
However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 7.7 m from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.7 m from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those at departure, with a temperature of 8 °C and a wind speed of 7 kt at 20 °, resulting in a 7 kt crosswind and a 2 kt headwind.
The total landing distance was 1,270 m, which accounted for 53% of the runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in less than 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 8 nm, and the flight duration was 6 minutes, during which the aircraft used 231 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at LFOB Paris-Beauvais Airport, achieving a score of 97.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south east, heading 304.0° at 1 nautical mile and 620 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with good control, and the aircraft landed on runway 30, which has a length of 2,379 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 121 knots. This indicates that the pilot may have been slightly aggressive in their approach, but still managed to maintain control. The touchdown distance was good at 386 meters, and the touchdown speed of 111 knots was also within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate of -200 feet per minute (fpm) was good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, there were some minor issues with the landing. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centreline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's control during the final approach. Additionally, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centreline, which may have been due to the same reason.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 7 knots at 20°. The crosswind component was 7 knots, while the headwind component was 2 knots. These conditions were not particularly challenging, and the pilot was able to maintain control throughout the landing.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good control and management of the aircraft. However, there were some minor issues with alignment, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's control.
