A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,114 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 235 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Airbus A320 from Birmingham International Airport to Newcastle Airport was relatively smooth with a few minor deviations during takeoff and landing.
During taxiing, the aircraft covered 1 nm in 8 minutes before departing on runway 33. The takeoff distance was 1,217m, with a liftoff speed of 161 kt. The local weather at the time of departure included a temperature of 21 °C, with a wind of 26 kt at 300 °, resulting in a crosswind of 11 kt and a headwind of 23 kt.
The enroute climb began over Birmingham and lasted 9 minutes, covering 41 nm with an increase in altitude of 20,509 ft. The level cruise started west of Youlgreave and lasted 7 minutes, covering 43 nm. The descent commenced over Glusburn and lasted 21 minutes, covering 72 nm with a decrease in altitude of 20,392 ft.
The final approach to runway 25 at Newcastle Airport from the northeast was successful with a touchdown distance of 235 m. The touchdown speed was slightly fast at 142 kt, with a touchdown rate of -205 fpm. The touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.8 m from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,032 m, with a rollout alignment of 11.1 m from the centerline. The local weather at the time of landing included a temperature of 20 °C, with a wind of 30 kt at 290 °, resulting in a crosswind of 21 kt and a headwind of 22 kt.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 164 nm and lasted 48 minutes, consuming 2,022 kg of fuel. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 3 minutes.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at EGNT Newcastle Airport, achieving a score of 95.8%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the north east, heading 245.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 25, which has a length of 2,114 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down with a speed of 142 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown distance was 235 meters, which was considered good. However, the touchdown rate of -205 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 6.8 meters, indicating a minor deviation from the intended path.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 20°C, with a wind speed of 30 knots from a direction of 290°. This resulted in a crosswind of 21 knots and a headwind of 22 knots. The total landing distance was 1,032 meters, which accounted for 49% of the runway length.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 11.1 meters. Despite these minor deviations, the overall performance of the aircraft was satisfactory, and the landing was considered successful.
