MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
Preparing for a stable approach will give you time to decide on whether to attempt the landing or going around. Too much altitude with a high sink rate will result in carrying too much speed onto the runway. Configuring flaps and the gear late also won't help the speed decay.

2 landings
The flight is kept as it was recorded: it ends when the engine is shut down, so a landing with the rotors turning is a stop along the way, not a new flight.
| # | Where | Into flight | Touchdown | Ground speed | Sideways | On the ground |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 mile north west of Hallbergmoos (Bavaria, Germany) | 4:19 | 672 ft/min | 9.6 kt | 4.3 kt | 0:10 |

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: wings 11° of bank, against a 10° limit and speed 35 kt FAST on the reference speed of 129 kt.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 4,065 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 380 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from runway 36L at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the Airbus A319 taxied for 18 minutes over 4 nm before rolling out. The takeoff run measured 1,402 m, representing 37 % of the available runway, and the aircraft achieved liftoff speed of 151 kt. Local conditions were 23 °C with a 16 kt wind from 20 °, producing a 5 kt crosswind and a 16 kt headwind.
The climb phase began 1 mile northeast of Vijfhuizen, rising from 960 ft to 30,804 ft in 13 minutes while covering 83 nm. Cruise segments followed: a 22-minute leg of 179 nm starting 3 miles northeast of Uedem, a 2-minute cruise of 8 nm east of Pottmes, and a 3-minute cruise of 10 nm west of Vierkirchen. Descent phases included a 12-minute drop from 30,488 ft to 10,265 ft over 82 nm, and a 7-minute descent from 10,008 ft to 4,014 ft over 24 nm. The flight total distance amounted to 444 nm and consumed 3,602 kg of fuel.
Approach to runway 08L at EDDM Munich Airport commenced from the west at 83.0 ° heading, 4 nm out and 1,260 ft above ground level. A go-around was executed at 29 ft agl before a final landing on the same runway. The touchdown occurred at 386 m from the threshold with a touchdown speed of 120 kt and a touchdown rate of minus 470 fpm; the touchdown point was 3.2 m off the centreline. The landing distance was 1,345 m, 34 % of the runway, and the aircraft taxied back to the parking in 4 minutes over less than 1 nm.
Final approach to runway 08L at EDDM Munich Airport was established from the west, with the aircraft heading 83.0° at 4 nm and 1,260 ft agl. The approach was maintained until touchdown on runway 08L, whose length is 3,989 m. Threshold height was within acceptable limits and the threshold speed was recorded at 124 kt, later noted as 127 kt.
Touchdown occurred at a distance of 386 m from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 120 kt. The touchdown rate was hard at minus 470 fpm. The touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.2 m from the centreline. Local weather conditions were 21 °C with a wind of 5 kt at 20°, providing a crosswind of 5 kt and a headwind of 2 kt. The total landing distance was 1,345 m, representing 34 % of the runway length. Runway rollout alignment was reported as perfect.
