MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,549 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,549 m of the 3,220 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 328 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at San Francisco International Airport (KSFO) took approximately 6 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The Embraer E175 then began its departure roll on runway 28L, utilizing 1,227 meters, or 36% of the runway, to achieve liftoff at a speed of 150 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 24°C, with a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 310°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and an 11-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from KSFO, it transitioned into an enroute climb, ascending from an initial altitude of 979 feet above sea level to a cruising altitude of 33,029 feet, a vertical gain of 32,050 feet, over a distance of 106 nautical miles in 13 minutes. The enroute level cruise phase commenced 5 miles northeast of Pinnacles Ranch Airport (O23), lasting 12 minutes and covering a distance of 353 nautical miles. Subsequently, the aircraft entered an enroute descent, initiated 8 miles west of Mesa Verde, California, and descended from 33,001 feet to 2,402 feet, a vertical loss of 30,600 feet, over a distance of 145 nautical miles in 15 minutes.
The Embraer E175 then began its final approach to runway 08 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX), aligning with the runway from the west at a heading of 90.0°, 4 nautical miles from the threshold, and at an altitude of 1,271 feet above ground level. The aircraft landed on the 3,219-meter runway, with a touchdown distance of 328 meters, slightly above the target threshold speed of 134 knots. The touchdown speed of 130 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -322 feet per minute was firm. The aircraft's runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. Taxiing from the runway to the parking area took approximately 1 minute, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 611 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 49 minutes, and the aircraft utilized 2,029 kilograms of fuel.
The Embraer E175 touched down on runway 08 at KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport with a good threshold height, allowing the crew to maintain a stable approach profile. The threshold speed was slightly above the target, reaching 134 kt, but this did not significantly impact the overall landing performance. The aircraft's touchdown distance of 328 m was within acceptable limits, demonstrating the crew's ability to manage the aircraft's energy during the approach.
Upon touchdown, the Embraer E175's speed was a little fast at 130 kt, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -322 fpm. However, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the crew maintained a high level of control and precision during the approach. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 32 °C and a 6 kt headwind, did not appear to have a significant impact on the landing performance.
The Embraer E175's total landing distance of 1,464 m, which accounted for 45% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating the crew's ability to maintain control and stability during the rollout phase. Overall, the Embraer E175's landing performance was excellent, earning a score of 98.6%.
