Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,544 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 206 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Overall, your aircraft landing score of 93.8% is impressive and reflects your strong competence as a pilot. Your performance in each phase of the landing process shows a good understanding of the necessary techniques and skills required for a successful landing.
In the Approach Phase, while your descent path was slightly below the glideslope limit and your speed was a little below target, these minor deviations did not significantly impact your overall score. It is important to ensure that you maintain proper descent path and speed control to improve your performance in future landings.
During the Landing Phase, you demonstrated a good threshold height and executed a perfect landing flare. However, your bank angle stability during landing was noted as poor. This area should be focused on improving to ensure a smoother and more controlled landing in future flights.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was smooth and your speed was on target. Additionally, your touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and runway touchdown position were very good. It is encouraging to see such precision in these critical aspects of the landing process.
It is important to note that you landed with a 3 kn tailwind, which is a safety concern and should be avoided whenever possible. Tailwind landings can increase the risk of runway excursions and should be carefully managed to ensure safe landings.
During the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was 12.2 m from the centerline. Improving runway alignment will help enhance your overall landing performance and ensure that you are consistently landing within the designated runway boundaries.
Overall, you should be proud of your high landing score and the areas where you excelled. Use this feedback to focus on improving your descent path, speed control, bank angle stability, and runway alignment to continue to enhance your skills as a pilot. Keep up the good work and continue striving for excellence in all phases of your flying. Well done!
