Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,490 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 561 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Groningen Airport Eelde, the Antonov An-2 began its takeoff roll on runway 05, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 84 kt. The aircraft utilized 67% of the available runway length, covering a distance of 1,658 meters before lifting off into the air. Local conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 16 °C and a negligible wind of 1 kt at 270°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and tailwind.
As the aircraft transitioned into the enroute climb phase, it began ascending from an initial altitude of 237 ft above sea level to 252 ft, a gain of 15 ft over a period of 2 minutes. This climb phase covered a distance of 2 nautical miles, positioning the aircraft for its final approach to runway 23 at Groningen Airport Eelde. The approach was initiated from the north-east, with the aircraft tracking a heading of 230.0° at an altitude of 235 ft above ground level.
The Antonov An-2 successfully landed on runway 23, touching down 116 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 40 kt was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown rate of -84 ft/min was excellent. Although the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centerline, the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total landing distance covered 689 meters, representing 28% of the available runway length. The flight, which covered a total distance of 4 nautical miles, utilized 5 kg of fuel and lasted approximately 3 minutes.
The aircraft touched down on runway 23 at EHGG Groningen Airport Eelde, a 2,493-meter-long asphalt surface, after a final approach from the north east. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a good threshold height and a slight deviation in threshold speed, which was recorded at 66 knots, slightly above the target. The aircraft maintained a steady descent, touching down at a speed of 40 knots, which was within acceptable limits.
The touchdown characteristics were excellent, with a touchdown rate of -84 feet per minute, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned, deviating by 3.1 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and a light headwind of 1 knot, contributed to a relatively straightforward landing. The crosswind component was minimal, at 1 knot.
The total landing distance of 689 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining a consistent path along the centerline. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 96.4%, indicating a high level of proficiency in executing a safe and controlled landing.
