Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,186 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,186 m of the 3,412 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 413 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 13 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 12 at Victoria Falls International Airport (FVFA). The takeoff distance was 2,043 meters, which accounted for 51% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 160 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 5 knots at 137 degrees.
As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead Victoria Falls International Airport. The climb was from an altitude of 4,501 feet above sea level to 36,564 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,063 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 140 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 20 miles south east of Nata, Botswana, and lasted for 37 minutes, covering a distance of 277 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 3 miles south west of Thabazimbi Airport, South Africa, and lasted for 22 minutes, covering a distance of 99 nautical miles. The descent was from an altitude of 36,559 feet above sea level to 8,453 feet above sea level, a decrease of 28,106 feet. The enroute level cruise then began again 4 miles north east of Meyerton Airport, South Africa, and lasted for 4 minutes, covering a distance of 13 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 03R at O.R. Tambo International Airport (FAOR) was from the south, heading 16.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,179 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 03R was successful, with a touchdown distance of 415 meters, which was good. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast at 142 knots, and the touchdown rate was very hard at -541 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, but the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 18.5 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 20 knots at 100 degrees, with a crosswind of 20 knots and a headwind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 2,117 meters, which accounted for 62% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 541 nautical miles, taking 108 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,229 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed on runway 03R at O.R. Tambo International Airport, achieving a score of 89.7%. The final approach was initiated from the south, heading 16.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,179 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a steady course, and the threshold height at 58 feet agl was slightly above the target, indicating a minor deviation in the approach.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 142 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown distance of 415 meters was within the acceptable range. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a wind speed of 20 knots at 100°.
The total landing distance of 2,117 meters was 62% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 18.5 meters from the centerline, indicating that the aircraft deviated from the intended path during the rollout phase. This deviation may have been caused by a combination of factors, including the aircraft's speed, the runway's surface, and the pilot's control inputs.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal approach and rollout. The aircraft's score of 89.7% indicates that the landing was good, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and runway rollout alignment.
