Improve the pattern downwind leg
The 45-degrees-behind-the-wing cue assumes you can turn your head and use peripheral vision. Downwind spacing cues like "put the wingtip halfway up the strut" assume a fixed, known eyepoint. Neither survives a monitor unmodified. If you fly on a fixed monitor, stop pretending and fly a numbers-based circuit.

One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,866 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 380 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The TL3000 Sirius departed Inverness Airport (EGPE) from runway 23, achieving a take-off roll of 220 m which represented 12 % of the available runway. Liftoff occurred at 58 kt. Ambient conditions were 15 °C with a wind from 269° at 2 kt; the cross-component was 1 kt and the head-wind component was 2 kt.
During the approach the aircraft entered a left-hand pattern for runway 23. The initial entry covered less than 1 nm in 21 seconds, followed by a left-hand crosswind segment of less than 1 nm in 18 seconds. The downwind turn spanned 1 nm with a 45° angle to the runway measured at 66.7°, and the downwind leg itself was 1 nm completed in 60 seconds. The base-leg turn also covered 1 nm with a 45° angle to the runway of 61.9°, after which the base leg was less than 1 nm in 29 seconds. The final turn to align with the runway was less than 1 nm and required 25 seconds.
Landing was executed on runway 23, whose length is 1,866 m. The threshold speed was slightly below the target at 50 kt. Touchdown occurred 377 m down the runway at a speed of 38 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 32 fpm and perfect alignment to the runway centreline. The total landing distance measured 475 m, representing 25 % of the runway length, and rollout alignment remained perfect.
The flight covered a total distance of 6 nm, required 4 minutes, and consumed 0 kg of fuel.
The aircraft approached runway 23 in calm conditions, temperature 15 °C, wind 2 kt from 269°, with a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
At threshold the aircraft maintained a good height and a threshold speed of 50 kt, which was slightly below the target speed.
Touchdown occurred 377 m down the runway at a speed of 38 kt, with a vertical rate of -32 fpm and perfect runway alignment.
The rollout covered a total of 475 m, representing 25 % of the 1,866 m runway, and alignment remained perfect throughout.
With a landing score of 98.7 %, the performance was excellent; bring the threshold speed up to the prescribed target to eliminate the slight undershoot.
