MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,570 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,570 m of the 4,014 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 815 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 777-200ER taxied from the parking area to runway 15R at RKSI Incheon International Airport in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 15R, the aircraft accelerated over a takeoff distance of 1,338 m, representing 36 % of the runway, and lifted off at 169 kt; ambient temperature was 29 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 190°, including a 3 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
The first en-route climb began overhead RKSI, climbing from 1,269 ft asl to 9,993 ft asl, an altitude gain of 8,724 ft achieved in 4 minutes while traversing 21 nm.
A level cruise segment commenced 3 mi south-west of Ansan-si, lasting 3 minutes and covering 18 nm.
The second climb segment started 2 mi north-west of RK52 Yongin (G-501) Airport, ascending from 10,008 ft asl to 39,091 ft asl, a gain of 29,083 ft in 21 minutes over 149 nm.
Subsequent cruise began 29 mi east of RKTB Paekado Helipad, lasting 2 minutes and encompassing 10 nm.
A further climb was initiated 38 mi east of RKTL Uljin, raising the aircraft from 39,411 ft asl to 41,008 ft asl, an increase of 1,598 ft in 3 minutes while covering 26 nm.
The next cruise phase started 59 mi east of RKTL Uljin and persisted for 58 minutes, during which 479 nm were flown.
Descent commenced 3 mi south of Ishikawa, Fukushima-ken, with the aircraft descending from 40,999 ft asl to 1,435 ft asl, a loss of 39,564 ft in 23 minutes across 134 nm.
The final approach to runway 34L at RJAA Narita International Airport was flown from the south-east, on a heading of 329.0° at 4 nm and 1,289 ft agl.
Landing on runway 34L, whose length is 4,014 m, the aircraft touched down 400 m beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 124 kt; the touchdown rate was minus 322 fpm, runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the threshold speed was 130 kt with a threshold height of 56 ft agl. Local weather reported a temperature of 26 °C, wind 2 kt from 57°, a 2 kt cross-wind and no head-wind. Total landing distance recorded was 1,490 m, representing 37 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was perfect, and the aircraft decelerated to a stop within the remaining runway length.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 846 nm, required 128 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 12,189 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 777-200ER established a final approach to runway 34L at RJAA from the south-east on a heading of 329.0° while 4 nm out and 1,289 ft agl, with local temperature 26 °C, wind 2 kt from 57°, a 2 kt cross-wind and no head-wind.
At the threshold the aircraft passed 56 ft agl, which was slightly above target, and reduced to a threshold speed of 130 kt that was good.
Touchdown occurred 400 m beyond the designated touchdown zone; the aircraft was at 124 kt, a good speed, and the rate was firm at minus 322 fpm while runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The total landing distance measured 1,490 m, representing 37 % of the 4,014 m runway, and rollout alignment was perfect.
With a final score of 91.2 %, the primary refinements are to achieve the intended threshold height and to aim for a touchdown point within the touchdown zone to further optimise runway usage.
