Work on the flare
See Arrival Landing
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,910 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 750 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 19 at LEMH Menorca Airport, with a takeoff distance of 669 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 144 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 16°C, a wind speed of 9 knots at 179°, resulting in a 1-knot crosswind and a 9-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead LEMH Menorca Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,165 feet above sea level to 22,691 feet above sea level, an increase of 21,526 feet in just 8 minutes, covering a distance of 42 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 13 miles south east of Porto Cristo, lasting 18 minutes and covering 135 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 40 miles south east of Oropesa del Mar, where the aircraft descended from 23,010 feet above sea level to 4,239 feet above sea level, a decrease of 18,772 feet in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 65 nautical miles. Another brief level cruise then took place 2 miles south of Casinos, lasting 2 minutes and covering 6 nautical miles. The final descent began 1 mile south of Bugarra, where the aircraft descended from 4,027 feet above sea level to 1,555 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,472 feet in just 3 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 12 at LEVC Valencia Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 116.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,336 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 12, which had a length of 2,910 meters. The threshold height was slightly above the target, and the threshold speed was also slightly above the target at 126 knots.
The touchdown point was 328 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 114 knots. The touchdown rate was firm at -358 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, a wind speed of 8 knots at 130°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and an 8-knot headwind.
The total landing distance was 1,314 meters, which accounted for 45% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took just 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 265 nautical miles, taking a total of 53 minutes, and the aircraft used 867 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed at LEVC Valencia Airport, achieving a score of 91.7%. The final approach to runway 12 was initiated from the west, with a heading of 116.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,336 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 328 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly outside the target area. The touchdown speed of 114 knots was a bit faster than the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to reduce the touchdown speed. The touchdown rate of -358 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, suggesting that the aircraft was able to absorb the impact of touchdown without excessive deceleration.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained a stable and aligned approach to the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 8 knots from a direction of 130°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 8 knots, which may have contributed to the slightly faster touchdown speed.
The total landing distance of 1,314 meters was 45% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the runway length of 2,910 meters. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and was able to bring the aircraft to a stop in a stable and aligned manner.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and touchdown point. With some adjustments to the approach and flare, the pilot may be able to achieve a more precise touchdown and a higher score.
