Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,195 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 367 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Airbus A321 from LEVC Valencia Airport to LEPA Palma de Mallorca Airport was smooth and efficient. The taxi from the parking to the runway took 11 minutes and covered 3 nm. The departure roll from runway 12 at LEVC was successful, with a takeoff distance of 1,912 m, 66% of the runway, and a liftoff speed of 166 kn. The local weather at departure was favorable, with a temperature of 24 °C and a wind of 8 kn at 130 °, resulting in a crosswind of 2 kn and a headwind of 7 kn.
The enroute climb started overhead Quart de Poblet, climbing from 1,167 ft asl to 22,364 ft asl, covering 60 nm in 11 minutes. The enroute level cruise began 30 miles northwest of Sant Antoni de Portmany and lasted 2 minutes, covering 14 nm. The descent started 21 miles northwest of Cala de Portinatx, decreasing from 21,743 ft asl to 3,089 ft asl in 13 minutes, covering 58 nm. Another enroute level cruise followed, starting 3 miles west of El Toro and lasting 2 minutes, covering 5 nm. The descent then started 2 miles southeast of El Toro, dropping from 2,978 ft asl to 1,309 ft asl in 3 minutes, covering 6 nm.
The final approach to runway 06L at LEPA Palma de Mallorca Airport was from the southwest, heading 58.0° at 4 nm and 1,283 ft agl. The landing on runway 06L was successful, with a touchdown distance of 367 m and a speed of 141 kn. The touchdown rate was hard at -495 ft/m, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.6 m from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,201 m, 38% of the runway, with a very good runway rollout alignment. The local weather at landing was a temperature of 17 °C and a wind of 8 kn at 320 °, resulting in a crosswind of 8 kn and a tailwind of 1 kn.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 152 nm in 50 minutes and used 2,338 kg of fuel. The aircraft performed well during takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, and landing, delivering a safe and efficient journey for the passengers.
Great job on your aircraft landing score of 95.3%! Your approach phase was particularly impressive with excellent glideslope alignment and a good threshold speed of 142 knots. This shows great precision and control during the initial stages of landing.
Moving on to the landing phase, you maintained a good threshold height and executed a fair landing flare. Both of these aspects are crucial in ensuring a smooth and safe touchdown on the runway.
While the touchdown phase had some room for improvement, with a hard touchdown rate of -495 ft/m, it's positive to see that your touchdown speed of 141 knots was within acceptable limits. Additionally, the touchdown distance of 367 meters and the slightly misaligned runway touchdown position by 3.6 meters from the centerline are areas where you can focus on improving your accuracy and consistency.
Overall, your performance demonstrates skill and proficiency in various aspects of the landing process. With some minor adjustments and continued practice, you can further enhance your aircraft landing technique and aim for even higher scores in the future. Keep up the good work and continue refining your skills to become an even more proficient pilot.
