MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,861 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,861 m of the 3,591 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 403 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 04R at KBOS Logan International Airport. The takeoff distance was 771 meters, which was 33% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 168 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 4°C, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 50°.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it passed overhead Winthrop, Massachusetts, and began its ascent from 1,069 feet above sea level to 33,941 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,872 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 134 nautical miles. The enroute climb started at a latitude of 43.6553° N and a longitude of 71.0333° W, and ended at a latitude of 50.1984° N and a longitude of 49.0351° W.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which started 49 miles southeast of Matinicus Island Airport in Maine, and lasted for 85 minutes, covering a distance of 886 nautical miles. This was followed by another enroute climb, which started at a latitude of 50.1984° N and a longitude of 49.0351° W, and ended at a latitude of 50.2999° N and a longitude of 48.5673° W. The climb from 33,497 feet above sea level to 34,643 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,146 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 17 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started at a latitude of 50.2999° N and a longitude of 48.5673° W, and lasted for 196 minutes, covering a distance of 1,687 nautical miles. The enroute descent started overhead Hengoed, Wales, and the aircraft descended from 35,754 feet above sea level to 7,536 feet above sea level, a decrease of 28,218 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 90 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile northwest of High Wycombe, England, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. The enroute descent started overhead Chesham, England, and the aircraft descended from 7,088 feet above sea level to 2,933 feet above sea level, a decrease of 4,155 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Marlow, England, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. The enroute descent started overhead White Waltham, England, and the aircraft descended from 2,886 feet above sea level to 1,339 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,547 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 09L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport was made from the west, heading 90.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,252 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 09L was successful, with a touchdown distance of 405 meters, which was good. The touchdown speed was slightly above the target at 147 knots, and the touchdown rate was firm at -338 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed on runway 09L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport, achieving a high score of 98.8%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,252 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach to the runway was precise, with a good threshold height and a slightly above-target threshold speed of 147 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's performance was satisfactory, with a touchdown distance of 405 meters, which is within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown speed of 143 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, indicating that the pilots may have needed to apply more braking force to slow down the aircraft. The touchdown rate of -338 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, suggesting that the aircraft's wheels made contact with the runway with a moderate amount of force.
The runway touchdown alignment was excellent, indicating that the pilots maintained a stable and consistent approach path. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were mild, with a temperature of 7°C and a light wind of 6 knots from 140°. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots, which is relatively minimal and should not have significantly impacted the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,780 meters was 50% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilots maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and brought it to a stop safely. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilots demonstrated good skills and judgment in navigating the aircraft to a safe touchdown.
