A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.
At the 500 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,449 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 373 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, taking approximately 4 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 02, with a takeoff distance of 908 meters, which was 42% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 136 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 16°C temperature and a wind speed of 9 knots at 30°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 8 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile north of Kenner, Louisiana, and reached an altitude of 45,101 feet above sea level, an increase of 44,098 feet in 19 minutes, covering 136 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise, starting 60 miles south of the AG11 Amphibious Ready Group in Pascagoula, Alabama, and lasted for 41 minutes, covering 305 nautical miles. The aircraft continued to cruise at various altitudes, with a brief descent from 44,951 feet to 22,246 feet in 5 minutes, covering 41 nautical miles. This was followed by a level cruise starting 3 miles south east of FL86 Woodstock Airport in Fort Myers, Florida, lasting 3 minutes and covering 22 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its descent from 22,260 feet to 16,769 feet in 2 minutes, covering 11 nautical miles, and entered another level cruise starting 5 miles east of Golden Gate, Florida, lasting 2 minutes and covering 11 nautical miles. The aircraft continued to descend from 15,954 feet to 1,367 feet in 10 minutes, covering 50 nautical miles, and entered a final level cruise starting 7 miles north west of Kendall West, Florida, lasting 2 minutes and covering 9 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 09 at Miami International Airport was made from the west, heading 87.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,319 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 372 meters, which was good. However, the touchdown speed of 117 knots was a little fast, and the touchdown rate was firm at -319 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 26°C temperature and a wind speed of 8 knots at 353°. The crosswind was 8 knots, while the headwind was 0 knots. The total landing distance was 1,112 meters, which was 32% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centreline. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 4 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 591 nautical miles, taking 86 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,121 kilograms of fuel.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed at KMIA Miami International Airport, achieving a score of 96.4%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 87.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,319 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision during the approach, ultimately landing on runway 09, which has a length of 3,449 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed of 122 knots was also within acceptable limits. The touchdown distance of 372 meters was within the expected range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 117 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have contributed to a firm touchdown rate of -319 feet per minute (fpm). Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and attention to detail.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 8 knots from 353°. This resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a headwind of 0 knots. The total landing distance of 1,112 meters was 32% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll.
Although the aircraft landed safely, there was a slight deviation in the runway rollout alignment, with the aircraft being 9.3 meters off-centerline. This minor discrepancy may be attributed to the pilot's slight overcorrection or a minor deviation in the aircraft's response to control inputs. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good skills and control throughout the approach and landing phases.
