MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,196 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,307 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The C750 taxied from the parking area to runway 01L at KMKE General Mitchell International Airport, covering roughly 1 nm in a 6-minute taxi-out.
During the departure roll on runway 01L, the aircraft accelerated through 2,155 ft, representing 22 % of the runway length, and lifted off at 139 kt; ambient temperature was 63 °F with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, a 2 kt crosswind component and no headwind.
Climb commenced overhead KMKE, with the airplane climbing from 1,753 ft asl to 14,928 ft asl, an altitude gain of 13,176 ft achieved in 5 minutes while covering 25 nm.
Cruise began 21 mi northeast of Racine, Wisconsin, and persisted for 34 minutes, during which the flight covered 249 nm at level altitude.
Descent was initiated 4 mi northeast of Savannah, Ohio, descending from 14,383 ft asl to 2,288 ft asl, a loss of 12,095 ft in 9 minutes and spanning 43 nm.
The final approach to runway 05 at KCAK Akron Canton Regional Airport was flown from the southwest on a heading of 47.0°, intercepting the glide path at 4 nm and 1,095 ft agl.
Landing on runway 05, which is 8,189 ft long, occurred with a threshold speed of 102 kt, a touchdown distance of 1,302 ft, a touchdown speed of 94 kt and a touchdown rate of minus 232 fpm; the touchdown point was offset 49 ft from the centreline. Local weather reported a temperature of 59 °F, wind 2 kt from 270°, a 1 kt crosswind and a 1 kt tailwind.
The rollout distance measured 3,565 ft, equivalent to 44 % of the runway, and the aircraft’s ground track was misaligned by 51 ft from the centreline during the rollout.
After landing, the C750 taxied to the parking area in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight logged 324 nm, required 54 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 0 lbs of fuel.
The C750 established the final approach to runway 05 at KCAK Akron Canton Regional Airport from the southwest, tracking a heading of 47.0° at 4 nm and 1,095 ft agl while the ambient temperature was 59 °F and the wind was 2 kt from 270° with a 1 kt crosswind and a 1 kt tailwind component.
The threshold height was good and the threshold speed was a little below target at 102 kt.
Touchdown occurred 1,302 ft down the runway at a speed of 94 kt, which was good, with a touchdown rate of minus 232 fpm that was fair; the touchdown point was misaligned by 49 ft from the centreline.
The total landing distance was 3,565 ft, representing 44 % of the 8,189-ft runway, and the rollout alignment was misaligned by 51 ft from the centreline.
To raise the already strong 92.4 % score, focus on reducing lateral deviation at touchdown and maintaining centreline tracking through rollout. Improved alignment will tighten the touchdown point and keep the rollout within tighter tolerances.
