Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,900 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,320 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EGBB Birmingham International Airport, a process that took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 15, with a takeoff distance of 2,092 feet, which accounted for 28% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 95 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of a temperature of 55°F and a wind speed of 3 knots at 190°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots. The enroute climb started overhead EGBB Birmingham International Airport, where the aircraft climbed from 1,359 feet above sea level to 1,419 feet, an increase of 60 feet in less than 1 minute, covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The enroute level cruise then began overhead Hampton in Arden, lasting 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then started another enroute climb, this time from 1 mile north of Wroxall, where it climbed from 1,527 feet to 21,202 feet, an increase of 19,675 feet in 12 minutes, covering 44 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise continued from 1 mile north-west of Tilbrook, lasting 19 minutes and covering 108 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its descent from 31 miles south-east of Southwold, where it descended from 20,818 feet to 5,994 feet, a decrease of 14,825 feet in 9 minutes, covering 48 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise resumed from 4 miles north of Nieuw-Haamstede, lasting 5 minutes and covering 25 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its final descent from 1 mile south-east of Nieuw-Beijerland, where it descended from 5,780 feet to 1,270 feet, a decrease of 4,510 feet in 8 minutes, covering 13 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 24 at EHRD Rotterdam The Hague Airport was made from the north-east, with a heading of 238.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,273 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 1,315 feet, a touchdown speed of 63 knots, and a touchdown rate of -155 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the local weather conditions were a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 5 knots at 170°.
The total landing distance was 3,969 feet, which accounted for 67% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, a process that took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 253 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 67 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 541 pounds.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at EHRD Rotterdam The Hague Airport, achieving a remarkable score of 98.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 238.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,273 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing was executed on runway 24, which has a length of 5,900 feet. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 73 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's speed during the final approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown distance of 1,315 feet and a touchdown speed of 63 knots. The touchdown rate of -155 feet per minute (fpm) was also within acceptable limits, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 5 knots from 170°. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 2 knots. Despite these conditions, the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft and execute a safe landing.
The total landing distance of 3,969 feet was 67% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline after touchdown.
Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at EHRD Rotterdam The Hague Airport was a success, with the aircraft performing well in terms of speed, distance, and alignment. The pilot's skills and experience were evident in the smooth and controlled execution of the landing.
