Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,492 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 388 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.

Great job on achieving a landing score of 95.4%! Let's break down your performance by phase to see where you excelled and where there is room for improvement.
During the Approach Phase, it seems like there were a couple of areas that could use some attention. Your descent path was above the glideslope limit, which suggests that you may have descended too quickly or too steeply. Additionally, your speed was slightly below target, which could have impacted the overall stability of the approach. These are important factors to consider as they can directly affect the quality of your landing.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, you showed strength in certain areas. Your threshold height was good, indicating that you were at the correct altitude as you approached the runway. Additionally, your landing flare was great, which is crucial for a smooth touchdown. However, it's worth noting that there is always room for improvement, even in areas where you performed well.
In the Touchdown Phase, you demonstrated proficiency in various aspects of the landing process. Your touchdown rate was good, indicating a controlled descent onto the runway. Your speed was on target, showing that you maintained a consistent and appropriate speed throughout the landing. Furthermore, your touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone suggests that you were able to execute the landing within the designated area.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, it appears that there were some minor issues with runway alignment. Being 8.3 meters off the centerline could impact the overall alignment of the aircraft with the runway, potentially leading to deviations during the rollout phase.
Overall, your performance was commendable, and you should be proud of your high landing score. By focusing on areas such as descent path, speed control, and runway alignment, you can continue to refine your skills and aim for even greater success in future landings. Keep up the good work and continue striving for excellence in all phases of aircraft landing.
